The only voices I can hear mate are those telling me what an absolute tosser you are.

Indeed!

itsintheblood, you a loser and I don't mind telling you so! It appears you have no intelligence at all, and you continue to post more and more dribble every day.

When your team wins something then and only then do you have the right to say "we are a good side" and bag other sides.

Ie:
Brisbane = Great Side
Richmond = A Good List that has won?? Nothing!

congrats.

Itsin theblood -

Well done. For three days this post has raged. You've had opponents come and go. Some left, but were ably replaced. Yet still you stand and fight your battle, never tiring.

It's just a pity you don't actually have an argument outside of "Richmond are good, your team sucks and you are stupid".

But fight on!

I barrack for Richmond and I also realise that my team is a long way off the mark performance wise. Don't get me wrong, I'm very passionate about my club and I'd never put them down (unless they really deserved it) but I don't think we are in a position to rubbish other clubs. I think most Tiger fans would agree that you must walk the walk before being entitled to talk the talk.

FWIW Freo are my favourite interstate side - I just like watching them play, and I think Carlton should do quite well next year with their new crop of players.

Respect goes a looooooooong way......

Sorry Hungry29 this is the "I'm itsintheblood and I talk dribble" thread!

Not the "I am realistic about my side" thread!

If you wish to continue to post in this thread you must talk about "Mecca", you must bag other side you can't beat, and talk about finals you can't make

Please be more careful in the future

Got to agree with Hungray29

That It'sintheblood geezer is probably still bitter about the 1982 Grand Final.

AND HOW DARE RICHMOND FANS CRITCIZE CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB BECAUSE WE HELPED SAVE THAT CLUB IN THE SAVE OUR SKINS CAMPAIGN BACK IN 1989

We rattled tins and even orgainised an chartity match with proceeds going to the RFC..

Richmond owes it's existance partly to Carlton, be thankful pal or if it wasn't for our genoristy, you might not be around today.

Ok...I'll spell it out for you IITB,

You support the Tigers, so do I (see my profile).

My reply was to Keano...who doesn't support the Tigers and doesn't support the Blues.

I was having a go at him/her for not saying who he/she supports but feels free to bag anyway...in pseudo support of you...

I was not having a go at you......

Some advice: not everyone is having a go at you - some people are trying to shoot down other's arguments as well.

We ????
You wouldn't have been a Carlton supporter back then.
Perhaps you should say they .

Itistheblood........we have traded 5 startups, Scotland, Teague, Morrell, McGrath, and Clarke. Those five alone would make your team a final 8 let alone including our prized recruite from the Preseason draft :p .

You keep feeling good about your team administration........it's always a good summer if you think positive.

PS. How did Blumfield go this year

Just out of curiosity, how many games in total did your 5 start ups play this year?

Don't think that some Tigers supporters wouldn't do the same for your team...

...and don't think that we weren't grateful...

...but don't think that we should or will kneel and tip our hats everytime you walk past or treat you as our masters.

It's called rivalry and is about pride and respect and loyalty.

Would you bow to us in the reverse situation?

Actually, I support Freo. I offer my sympathies towards you and your Richmond alumni. It's not your fault you were born that way.

It's OK if you are too naive and immature to talk facts and would rather hurl abuse. To tell you the truth, I didn't expect anything else.

(I can already hear you: "did you see the Freo V Rich game at the MCG this year?????")

fell free to start bagging Freo, but let me remind you that at no point have I said Freo are a good side or better than the Tigers.

Remind me again where you provided facts? and then maybe I'll have something to argue about-

that's right, 3 finals in 20+ years - and how have Freo gone? They haven't been around as long but on the strength of one good season you think you are entitled to dump a load on other teams without any retribution? I asked for your team - because you attacked mine, unprovoked, and didn't allow me to respond in kind.

You didn't say Freo was better than Richmond...but feel free to bag the Tigers? "Not saying what my team is or is like, but gee yours is crap"??

Remember it was your first post, un-provoked that said:

"ITSINTHEBLOOD, while I don't support either of teams you people are arguing about, you must honestly be in la la land mate.

I can't even comprehend how a Richmond supporter can come on a forum like this and expect to be taken seriously! The Tigers would have to be the worst team in the AFL to support.

You have about 3 top line players, your coach makes Grant Thomas look like a mastermind, and you have made the finals twice in the last 20 years! Every time you guys win a game you start talking premierships, and every time you lose you start talking sackings and delistings. "

...and you ask me about abuse - yours may have been cleaner but no less critical.

Lucid arguments, constructive criticism, valid points I can understand...but baseless attack warrants a baseless reply.

Note to all you non-Tigers supporters - I may not agree with IITB on everything - even when he has a go at me, but have a cheap shot at our team, or gang up on one of us and I'll close ranks.

Simon Fletcher would just like to thank everyone involved on this thread for giving him his most sustained performance in three years.

Furthermore, he would like to announce he will be playing for Richmond next year where he hopes to receive the unwavering support of his biggest fan, itisintheblood.

Isn't this thread supposed to be about Simon Fletcher??

Speaking of which, I met both Simon and Brendan Fevola at Splash of Color last week while they were getting tattooed. Both really nice guys, although Fevola stated that he would prefer to have played in the team that finished second last rather than the team that lost the GF.

Hmmm, interesting.......

Poor Ol Richmond

Cant help chucking this poor stat into the thread...........

Since 1991 seven of the 16 AFL clubs have won premierships while another five have been runners-up.

The supporters of only four of the 16 clubs – Richmond, the Bulldogs, Fremantle and Port Adelaide - have not seen their team play off for the premiership in that period.
Since 1991 seven of the 16 AFL clubs have won premierships while another five have been runners-up.

Back to fletcher,
Saw him going to the Physio at Collins St about 2 weeks ago, I looked in better shape than him - and thats a sad but true assesment.
True - he gave his all, but his best was "suprisinbg" as most of us Carlton supporters knew he was handy at best, but not anyhting better than that.
He obviously was uncontracted & we had the opportunity to "off" him & replace him with someone that may turn out to be a player off the future for Carlton.
No - Simon fletcher will not play at AFL level next year, even if he got re-drafted by Carlton in the PSD he wouldnt get a game in 2004.

Very Good! :D

I would like to wish Simon Fletcher all the best at Richmond.

Does anybody know what number he will be wearing?

Itisintheblood would like to know so he can have his number on his back for the start of the new season.

You're so sensitive. And your words are so touchy. I'll send you a box of tissues. Now take your achor and go home.

Well thank you for your generosity. I've heard this so many times it's really worn off. Carlton has done it's best to achieve success over the years whilst blatantly rorting the salary cap and probably won the '82 grand final in a similar way. Well done Andrew Demetiou. Let the pentalties befit the crime.
ps. We can send you back those tins if you want them back so badly.

That's your best response in 8 pages.

Sadly I go home from work soon, so unless you keep this thread alive over the weekend this is the last time i'll post in it (only post here during business hours, when i'm getting paid to argue).

I just want to thank you all for the last three days.
Really, it's been very entertaining.

Thanks.

P.S. Simon Fletcher. (Just thought I'd throw it in)
