I was actually surprised
I'm hoping I can complete my transition to the seats below the Coach's box next year
Suspect with our performance this year some Gold A's might drop off.
It's like the Green Vest guy hoping (but not hoping) for an injury :p
I hadn't actually thought of that. You are a genius! I'll be keeping my eye out for it too!

The NRL announced today there will be three games played on the central coast later this year and two of those games involve the titans. The beginning of the end?

They aren't Titans home games, interstate teams don't draw crowds in Sydney, that's why they choose those games to move to Gosford, including a game involving the Broncos.

8,911 at the Freo game today. By far the worst crowd to ever show up to a Suns game. Seems like a fair number of locals had given up on them but today's performance will drag a decent amount of them back. The North Melbourne crowd in 3 weeks should be interesting.

I was happy it was close to 9000 to be honest
Wet and cold, no chance of a win going in, and Freo hardly drags the neutrals through the gates

No doubt they were always going to struggle to pull a crowd. It's just disappointing to see the club hit rock bottom in terms of attendances.

Actually kind of impressive that 9k if your worst crowd ever. 1 win for the year, crap conditions, crap timeslot and an expected thumping against a low-drawing side. Not bad at all, especially given Gold Coast being a notoriously fickle market.

I'm surprised we got that many , we have won 1 of our past 17 games , only the diehards there in wet conditions.

16k showed up for the Collingwood game. 9k to Freo is a bloody good feat considering the conditions, weather, ladder, time slot, and general performance of the team up until this point. No stars, almost guaranteed loss, lack of morale.

9k is impressive when you take it all into account.

Not sure if this needs its own thread...

It was just said on SEN radio, that the timing of K's, Suns drugs saga was due to the Titans having some drugs review or some such on the 6-7 july. This story was timed and released by a Brisbane Rugby League writer to paste over the Titans drugs story coming up, and to damage the AFL in RL heartland.

It is all part of the AFL vs RL war on the GC.

The story was done by Phil Rothfield who is in Sydney and couldn't care less about the Suns or Titans. Conspiracy theory shot to pieces.
