Not quite at the same heights, still fun, however more of a filler-ry style episode than before. Wish the running time was longer.

And hoping the mystery eventually provides the answers, it’s quite intriguing what is happening in this pocket of the galaxy (and why this planet in particular is so special).

Neel is the man.
Apparently it was made as a limited series so ep 8 will resolve, but they have ideas for further stories if it gets renewed.

Really good story this week with a twist at the end… also back to is he or isn’t he

“Your focus determines your reality”. Nice dialogue there. The moment I heard that I recognised the Qui Gon quote - so I take it “Jod” was once a former padawan of his?

Good episode. That sequence underground was a bit of a love letter to The Goonies and Indiana Jones etc. Once again it ended all a bit too suddenly for me and was keen to see what happens next.

Could be a former apprentice of Dooku.

Quality ep again.

The lack of visuals for the former captain leads me to think the theory that he's now the supervisor is on the money.

Episode two:

Hmmm, a force sensitive character. Let's see how it goes.

Also the tone is a little confusing at times. Is it an adult show with kids ala Stranger Things, or is also trying to be family friendly for kids? If so it's definitely right on the limit of not being kid friendly.

Seriously? You're complaining about the one thing that makes this distinctly a Star Wars show? Ie the Force.

JUST ADMIT YOU DON'T LIKE STAR WARS ALREADY!

What the ****?

All I said was hmmm, I went in to the show with no expectation of force users and now one has revealed itself it's left me a bit unsure of what happens next.

Stop reaching trying to paint me as non stop negative ffs.

Man I assume you must have hated Andor.

Given your comments in the Acolyte thread, it felt like you had an issue with a force user being in this. If that's not the case then I take back my comment.

Why would I hate Andor? I don't think it's quite worthy of the pedestal people put it on, but it's still a really good show.

If you read more of my comments in Acolyte, you would see that I thought the show was decent in the beginning, but I lost steam and motivation to keep watching after the lightsaber fight episode. Nowhere would I have any issue with a show ABOUT Jedi having force users. I don't think I have ever shit on it directly, but no doubt I have been negative and critical of the directions of the franchise as a whole, I think it's totally warranted and won't take any of that back. It's really frustrating that I'm being considered negative when I have removed myself from persons and communities that I consider 'hate baiting', because I am totally open to giving things a chance and being happy if something is good, but not afraid to also say if I think it's shit, which is nothing more than my opinion anyway for the sake of discussion - Except for Last Jedi, that's objectively, factually, feces, but I digress.

I made an assumption that if you think force users in the only thing that sets Star Wars apart from other shows, then a show with no force or Jedi may not have appealed to you.

How is it on the limit?

The violence and imagery seems right on the line to me for a modern kids media standards. Perhaps not 80s standard family/kids flicks however.

Violence and imagery lol.

It's the definition of a kids adventure show.

Wtf are we talking about with violence and imagery? It's a fun frolicking adventure where every character has comedic undertones to lighten the tone. There's no gore, brutality or intense themes.

Episode 3 and 4

Jude Law is charismatic
At Ad Attin? Mystery seems interesting
Kids doing a good job, the comedic moments are kept low-key and infrequent and that honestly works better.

Nitpicks
Land a moon that looks just like the one we have for earth with no atmosphere, and no space suits or breathing gear?
A few alien species are basically just talking animals

I hope it can keep the quality up. It's not Andor or Mando 1-2, but it's comfortably doing its own thing. This is the show that should have came after Mando rather than the legacy character shows.

Wasn’t Forest moon of Endor in ROTJ a moon?

That’s how he built the New Hope cantina scene, that and universal horror villains.

Endor was clearly a moon with a atmosphere and biology. As I said the moon in this looks pretty much like earth's moon, just grey dirt and a night sky. I don't expect scientific accuracy in star wars but I like attempts to at least have some grounding in reality, or have some exposition to explain it.

I'd have to go back and see how prominent the aliens in the cantina are, but off the top of my head I remember these first: hammerhead guy, the friend of the guy that's a dick to Luke, the cantina band aliens, all of which are very otherworldly.

There's otherworldly aliens here for sure, but the most prominent seems to be the wolf man baddie captain and the owl lady so far, excusing the elephant kid as we've already seen this species in return of the Jedi.

Wolf man was in New Hope originally.

Loved this episode as well… stakes went up a bit, danger for the kids, the double cross is well and truly on
