Redalert talk over the weekend that Armstrong may be joining Rovers permanently in the next few days. Think a fee of 1.7m potentially rising to 3m is the reported figure. Hopefully we also put a resale clause in there in case he is sold again down the track.

Saw it at 1-1 about 60 mins in. Wasn't expecting the score line it ended up being.

I was. Our defence is terrible. Shock horror when you sell/release/loans end for your entire back 5 and you replace them with speculative kids and a guy who won a contest to get signed as a PL keeper.

Haha what? Who won a contest?

Sounds like Hull will be closer to the bottom than the top this season?

Marshall.

Yeah that's not really surprising lol.

So Wednesday's owner held a fan forum this morning to address some of the major talking points for the club:

  • We've been in a transfer embargo since April
  • Not going to make any signings before Thursday's deadline > perhaps a loan or two if clubs don't ask for loan fees
  • Host of clubs (Stoke, Swansea for some) have been throwing complete lowball offers at us for our star players because of the embargo. Like me when i play football manager and like annoying other clubs. So its a lose lose > clubs don't want to pay top dollar because they think we're desperate, we won't release players to get money back because of it
  • Apparently not allowed to re-sign any players who's contacts expire at the end of the season, so a lot of them will be testing the waters and looking elsewhere if not sorted by January
  • Reckons he'd leave this instance if the fans ask
  • Membership and kit prices, or basically, money from the supporters, are the only way we are going to get out of financial trouble, so people complaining about ticket increases or expensive kits have to deal with it
  • (not confirmed by him) there are rumours that all our accounts are being investigated, with some "dodgy" unreported accounts surfacing that may indicate we are paying more than advised (not sure of the source so take it with a grain of salt)
  • Turned down the BBC deal apparantly to set a precedent > reckons that if they allowed a 10% reduction in fees, that would just open the door for further decreases. Wanted to take a stand against BBC
  • Him and his family are petrified of social media and going around the club because of abuse from Wednesday supporters
The worst part though was this:

So basically, we are in a bad place right now :( Owner needs to sack his advisors and get someone who knows what they're doing. He splashed hard on blokes like Rhodes and Fletcher for Carvalhal, and now we're paying big time

Whats the best way to watch the championship? is there an app you can get just for this league?

Probably best off with a subscription to LUTV I think.

I get the occassional game on BeIN through Foxtel, but that's not really reliable

Sign up for the Leeds streaming service.

Didn’t like the idea of paying nearly $20 per game, but looks like the only option. Cheers!

If your club doesn't have it's own streaming service you can always try iFollow. They don't stream everygame but show full match replays.

You can buy an annual pass for around $200 I'm pretty sure. Where'd you get $20 from? isn't the per game price 5 pounds or something?

Not sure what you're thinking of? iFollow IS the streaming service that clubs have.

Some clubs have their own service (which is rather limited in what they can and can't provide) that isn't part of a central agreement with the EFL, or have opted out of signing with the EFL to provide a live-streaming option IIRC.

Yeah I know, Hull are one of them, but iFollow shows the exact same amount of games as those independent services. It's just the alternative for clubs that have opted into the EFL model.

Leeds will be on BEIN a fair bit this season. I’ve never bothered with the LUTV subscription as the majority of games are at 2am.

Derby, Swansea and Boro game are all on BEIN in August.
