Hull City's bid to avoid relegation has taken a huge blow after it was revealed that four players, including captain Eric Lichaj and vice-captain Jackson Irvine, have played their final games for the club, while Mallik Wilks will only feature in two more this season.

Its going to be tougher now for Hull to survive in the Championship with these 5 players not being available for the run home.

Yeah, it's an insurance liability issue, not a payment issue.

If a player is injured in the last week of his contract and doesn't get picked up again, the honus is on the club to cover his medical costs until he rehabilitates or pay him out a sum to cover ongoing rehab and medical fees.

This would be coming from their managers, no play from the day they no longer have injury coverage with an existing contract.

I still think the first 60 odd minutes against cardiff was the best we played all season and then, well we imploded and it started a bad run for us. I'll definitely be watching Fulham v Brentford too.
