A normal person to me wouldn't have been sucked in by advertising and being 'cool' causing health concerns, illness and potential death.
it also was for the guns and roses concert earlier this year well unofficially anywaybut smoking on the ground will still be allowed
no thats society in general now daysI agree. MCG is ******* putrid because of these stupid campaigners. **** yourself up in your own space you mentally weak campaigners.
Cigarettes are for ******* losers.
Ok it's liberating.Slavery? Alright drama queen.

Meat pies, sausage rolls MSG filled chips, takeaway and alcohol should all be banned they are all cancer causing.
The amount it brings in doesn't even compare to how much it cost taxpayers.Smoking contributes to weight loss and high taxation. If you want to fit in the train on the way home or have the ambulance turn up on time to your retirement home, it's needed.
Technically. The amount it costs tax payers doesn't even come close to the amount of taxes it brings in.
Bullshit. The amount of tax a smoker pays over 40 to 50 years would pay for their medical bills 10 times over. Smokers generally drop off the perch early and quickly. How much do the tee totalers and non smokers drain the health system when they live to an old age, drawing a pension for years, cluttering the hospitals without ever paying a cent in excise tax?The amount it brings in doesn't even compare to how much it cost taxpayers.
yeah and all those public transport users not paying for roads...Bullshit. The amount of tax a smoker pays over 40 to 50 years would pay for their medical bills 10 times over. Don't get me started on those Lycra wearing cyclistsyeah and all those public transport users not paying for roads...
The ironic thing is Id imagine most who visit the food vans during breaks would be smokers.
The MCG spokesperson should be called on his comments re a safe workplace. If the MCG was concerned about the environment they could have done this on its own free will.

Do you know how much tax is on a packet of cigarettes? Governments love smokersThat's just complete horseshit.

Smoking cost the healthcare system more that any other factor. The types of illnesses it causes can often require major surgeries early in life which also tend to be the high cost surgeries like heart disease, cancer and conditions like diabetes which have massive costs over time, too.
If you want to be pro-smoking at least do it the 'smart' way through the liberty argument rather than taxation because what it brings in doesn't come close to the costs it lumps on taxpayers through healthcare.
"In 2009-2010, revenue from excise and customs duty and GST on the sale of tobacco products exceeded $7 billion"Do you know how much tax is on a packet of cigarettes? Governments love smokers
And how much do non smokers cost the system?"In 2009-2010, revenue from excise and customs duty and GST on the sale of tobacco products exceeded $7 billion"

Not even close to the $30bil+ it costs the system per year.
