Hawks. I've always semi-supported them. Having said that, I wouldn't go for Freo unless they were playing Norf. There are very few Freo players that I actually like, unfortunately I can't just go for Matt DeBoer.

Respecting the team's competitive, hard-edged game plan and wanting my mates to be happy is one thing, but as an Eagles supporter, I simply can't abide by a Fremantle victory next week.

my mate summed it up to me this morning - "I want ross lyon to never win a premiership more than i wanted andy murray to never win wimbledon"

the reason ross lyon winning is bad for football: i just did some quick excel stats, and since ross lyon took over as coach in 2007, 6 of his 7 teams occupy the bottom 11 spots for points per game (including for and against), including 2011 st kilda, 2013 fremantle, 2010 st kilda occupying the bottom 3 spots. only st kilda 2008, who's games averaged 184 points per game had a semblance of attack in their games. i know footy is not all about attack, and the hard tackling and aggressiveness at the footy are great, but other teams have done that part just as well but still managed to attack the scoreboard.

all lyon's teams except 2007 st kilda (184) and 2008 st kilda (173) averaged less than 165 points per game.

The bottom 11 (2007 - now):
