Man did I cop it at work today for saying I wanted the Hawks to win! People were genuinely upset that I wouldn't be "supporting your own state" . It's not state of origin!

The stupid thing was it wasn't the true Dockers supporters, they didn't give a toss, it was all the band wagoners that don't even watch football on a week to week basis.

I guess the brown and gold cup cakes I brought in for morning tea didn't help. Didn't stop them eating them though.

I have the same thing, people who don't even really care about footy ask why I won't support Freo, I'm not about to go into, and make myself sound like a raving lunatic because of all the reasons I hate freo, rational or otherwise. Then there's the people who have never even travelled outside of our state who say, I hate the Vics I don't want them to win.

Co-workers and others saying I should support the dockers because they are West Australian is absolute crap. Do you really thing a Richmond supporter would barrack for Essendon against Sydney because they were from Vic? This is a club competition, not a state one. I voted Hawks in the poll last week but was surprised how much I enjoyed seeing Freo lose, especially when Frodo ****ed up everything he went near.

I went for Freo - mainly just wanted a good game and tend to always go the underdog.
Was celebrating the Freo goals and hoped they'd win it for Pav who I really admire as a footballer.

Not the best game and both teams choked, but Freo choked a bit harder.
