every weekend there is a tournament with a $5million+ prizepool, and guys like Allenby cant afford to miss them as if they fall off the tour its bloody hard to get back on. So if hes to go in to hiding/withdrawl from the next tournament starting in 2 days its going to raise eyebrows, all the golf media outlets are going to ask why he isnt playing. He could make up an excuse, but hiding his face etc will make it even more suss and raise more eyebrows than whats happening currently

these guys are more famous than we really think down here in Australia, golf is a massive game and someone is going to see his face and say "hey Allenby isnt playing because hes got a sore leg, his face got caved in"

Like tiger, he played the tour. Showed up for events and did what he wanted in between. Nobody asks what they're doing on their days off, they ask what you're doing when you're not playing but should be.

When you start withdrawing from events when you're a middle of the run golfer people ask questions. Have a hammy injury? Why not make a few bob by doing an appearance at the event in a corporate setting? Why won't you do a Tv interview? Why are you hiding your face? Etc etc
