It's the 21st of December, and now they're ringing the last bell...
I know many people are fascinated by the unspoken reason that Joe is inside. Me? I want to know who ended up making the gravy.
Was it Dan, who Joe seems to think wants to step into his shoes in all aspects of his life?
Did Rita pick up her husband's slack on Christmas Day? Did Stella, Dolly and Mary even get a look in? Cos for some reason it strikes me as a very conservative, patriarchal family similar to the one that I grew up in, where "the gravy", just like "the turkey" in the spit was the man's job. (ie. the woman does entrees, vegetables, salad, deserts... the man spends 3 hours outside drinking beer from 9.30am looking at the turkey spin and demands congratulations for "his" Christmas lunch.)
What about Roger? If Roger can't win the fight, can he win the gravy stakes?
AND GIVE MY LOVE TO ANGUS
So who made the gravy?
And does it even matter in modern day Australia?
