Huge fan of Cooney - could never understand the threads bagging him in years past. He's always had it in him, just never did it consistently. Only in his 5th year and is well and truly one of the competition's current elite.

He obviously hasn't heard of Jimmy Bartel either. Bartel is one of the best contested marks in the league. If he was about 10cm taller and played as a KPP rather than a midfielder, he'd be leading the contested marks tally year after year. Guess he just has to settle for taking the most contested marks out of all midfielders.

The question is whether Murphy and Gibbs will be better worse or about the same once they are in their fifth seasons.

I personally think they will both be as good if not better however i will admit that I am biased.
