There's a bit of crap in there. Also Ntini's on the wane, Mckenzie, Amla and Prince will all have to adapt to our pitches, muppet always fails against us, AB is inconsistent and Kallis is in career worst form. Steyn will have to prove he can adapt to our pitches as well. The Proteas could be in for a tough time unless they adjust to our conditions and they only have a few days after the IPL to acclimatize.

South African squad for Australia: Graeme Smith (captain), Ashwell Prince (vice-captain), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Paul Harris, Jacques Kallis, Neil McKenzie, Morne Morkel, Makhaya Ntini, Robin Peterson, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Monde Zondeki.

I am looking forward to seeing Steyn bowl against our batsman.

We have shown we are susceptible to bowlers who move the ball in the low 130s, what about a guy who does it in the hihg 140s, low 150s?

Will be exciting to watch.

No real threats just a host of 'average' players.
They usually beat weaker sides with their regimented and boring game plan and come to Aus full of fake bravado and arrogance.

The Australian batsmen usually luv their 'military medium' attack.
The aussies will easily account for this mob.

Yeah...'Muppet' always failed against us because we had Mcgrath.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him churn out the runs this series.

Too much cockyness.

Somehow I don't think Steyn and Morkel are 'military medium'. ;)

I'm really looking forward to this series... there's been a great rivalry between the 2 teams over the past 10 or so years when we were both 1 and 2 in the world.

I think they will give us a real shake. We're not in form and they've got a lot of talented new bowlers, so it should be tightly contested. I'm looking forward to Steyn and Morkel.

They might give Tsotsobe a go before Zondeki because he's a leftie and they never have much variety. He's also six foot seven so might get some bounce. Albie Morkel was ruled out due to injury.

Good to see MJ get his first five fer, it was missing in his CV. I think Steyn has some cheap wickets along the way because he already has 9 five fers from 26 tests. Morne Morkel is spraying them everywhere atm btw.

Spot on it would appear Romeo.....

% of wickets taken by batting order

Steyn

1-3 31%
4-7 34%
8-11 35%

Johnson

1-3 30%
4-7 38%
8-11 32%

Lee

1-3 36%
4-7 37%
8-11 27%

Clark

1-3 43%
4-7 35%
8-11 22%

Edit: Mind you when you bowl fast, straight and with movement you should be able to clean up the tail.

I can't see them being the push-over that some think as they drew with India over there and whipped NZ comprehensively in both tests late last year when the kiwis had Oram, Fleming, Bond and Styris. They beat them by an innings and 50 odd runs and 300 odd runs. They have a reasonable side.
