How on earth is this even fair for the club? Shades of when Marlion Pickett left mid season and we got caned in the Grand Final.

I am in the latter stages of writing a book about the old AFC Night Series from 1979-1986 and need some assistance with some missing records for the section which will include an A-Z list of players who played in the competition.

Can anyone assist with the local club that the following players were recruited from:

Lindsay Borthwick 1982 (Narrogin – Towns or Railways)
Garry Jakovich 1984
Peter McGilvray 1984 (Willetton?)

The South Fremantle Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of former player Cam McCarthy.

A South zoned junior from the South Coogee JFC, McCarthy was drafted pick 14 in 2013 to the GWS Giants direct from the South Colts program, before returning to WA in 2017 to play with the Fremantle Dockers.

In 2021, Cam rejoined South Fremantle and played WAFL footy in both the 2021 & 2022 seasons.

Cam is remembered not just as a prodigious football talent, but as a popular, compassionate and caring person who had time for everyone at our Club. He will be dearly missed.

The entire South Fremantle Football Club community offers condolences to the McCarthy family at this difficult time.

It's certainly been a year for losing legends.

Claremont have taken some decent scalps in the last month or so since randomly losing to West Coast. The boys are going to need to be on their game Saturday.

South Fremantle Football Club is deeply saddened by news of a car accident overnight involving several of our Colts players, resulting in the tragic death of South Fremantle footballer Nick Campo.
We are a club in deep shock, focused upon supporting our players, staff and their families in these tragic circumstances.
We ask that all involved are given the appropriate space and respect to grieve.

Cameron Britt
CEO
South Fremantle Football Club

Another tragic loss of life in the South Freo family, with a couple of others also suffering injuries. Been a hell of a year and it's only July.

Somebody please go and cover Stephen Michael in bubble wrap.

On a brighter note to my first couple of posts on the thread it was a privilege to be in the presence of greatness at the President's Lunch last Saturday. Seeing Ray Bauskis, Craig Edwards and the legend John Gerovich awarded retrospective Bernie Naylor medals was a big highlight of the season so far.

Also on a personal note I was apparently the 1500th guest to the President's lunch for this season and was afforded the great honour of tossing the coin ahead of the League game. Sadly Peel's Brady Grey won the toss and the game.
