Scoot going alright mid way through the Sandover, should get at least one more 3 vote game against Subi, can he find enough in the rest of the season to win another?

Rumour from the Eagles board is South have signed Jamaine Jones for next season

That is great but he is not the kind of player we really need. We need a KPF. We have needed one since Mason Shaw left and if truth be told we needed one a couple of years before that.

New coach

The South Fremantle Football Club appoints Craig White as Senior Men's League Coach

The South Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig White as the new Senior Men's League Coach on a two-year contract.

Craig White is a true South Fremantle man, born and bred within our Upper Great Southern zone from the farming town of Williams. His connection to the club runs deep, having come through the ranks of all three grades – Colts, Reserves, and League – with the Bulldogs.

A Life Member of the club, Craig played an impressive 192 league games for South Fremantle from 2004 to 2015, during which he won two League Premierships in 2005 and 2009. His leadership qualities were recognised early, being named Vice-Captain of the League side and frequently stepping up as acting captain in place of Jamie Graham during his extended injury absence. Craig’s achievements also include winning a Reserves Premiership in 2004 and a Colts Premiership in 2003.

Since retiring from the WAFL, Craig has continued his football journey with notable success. He captained and coached the Balmain Dockers in the Sydney Football League to a grand final and later served as an Assistant Coach at the Claremont Football Club under the tutelage of WAFL premiership coach Darren Harris.

More recently, Craig has demonstrated his coaching prowess with Curtin Uni Wesley in the Perth Football League, where he has been at the helm from 2019 to 2024. In his debut season as coach, Craig led the team in an undefeated season, securing the B Grade Premiership and earning promotion back into A Grade. Over the following five seasons, he guided the team to three Toyota A Grade Men’s Grand Finals, culminating in a Premiership and the prestigious Sandover Shield in 2023.

Additionally, Craig has coached the PFL Men’s State team for the past two seasons, achieving a rare and remarkable victory over Victoria in 2024 in Perth.

Craig White’s deep connection to South Fremantle, combined with his impressive coaching record and leadership qualities, makes him an ideal fit to lead the Bulldogs into the future. We look forward to seeing the impact he will have on our senior team over the next two seasons.

More list management news. Haiden Schloithe, Jake Florenca, Noah Strom & Dylan Main have all signed on for 2025.

Can't say the club aren't giving the coach the cattle to work with that's for sure. Building a solid list, between the players retained and the ones coming in should be fairly handy side next season.

OUR FUTURE IN FREMANTLE

The plan to redevelop Fremantle Oval has reached a significant milestone with the City of Fremantle approving the draft masterplan.

We look forward to a modern, reinvigorated, and vibrant home ground precinct for all users and participants.

Top 3 in the Hughes Medal

1st - Issy Winder
2nd - Chad Pearson
3rd - Haiden Schloithe

That feels about right to me.

A memorable night for all, and an unforgettable one for Isiah Winder, etching his name into the South Fremantle Football Club history books and claiming his first WJ Hughes Medal.

After a stellar first season as a Mighty Bulldog, Winder polled a total of 102 votes to secure the win. Winder earnt his glory averaging 25.4 disposals per game and kicking a total of 16 goals.

Winder has proven to be a handy pick-up to our South Fremantle League side, after his time on the West Coast Eagles list. The mid-size half-forward danced his way through traffic, whilst being involved in many score assists.

With 90 votes, Chad Pearson was a worthy recipient of the N Macdonald Trophy as this year’s Runner-Up Fairest and Best after a consistent year.

The ever-reliable Haiden Schloithe followed in third place, with 88 votes. Lewis Rayson and Matthew Parker both polled 61 votes, to tie for fourth.

Glenn Byron finished in sixth place with 49 votes. 45 votes and seventh place went to the 2024 Leading Goalkicker and John Gerovich Trophy winner, Zac Strom.

Head of Football, Charlie Burke, presented South Fremantle’s longest-serving League Coach Todd Curley a gift of appreciation, with his time leading the Bulldogs coming to an end.

Congratulations was in order for Lewis Rayson, receiving the Shearer Family Trophy for Best First-Year Player. Robbie Turnbull was recognised for his ongoing contributions to the Women’s Program, receiving the Best Clubman Award, the Warren Medal.
