Wearing Navy and Azure Hoops, the Surfcats want to ride a wave of recent premiership success. With 3 flags, Broadbeach have played and trained at Kombumerri Park since being founded in 1971. Broadbeach don’t want to wipe out but are ready to carve up the competition.

Glenorchy was founded in 1919, with 17 flags to their name Glenorchy’s motto is Fortis ad Finem literally meaning Fight to the Finish. Playing and training at King George V Oval, the Galahs take flight this season for more honours. Keeping the Black and White, Glenorchy have added Pink and Grey to their jumper which includes a monogram and subtle hints to their history.

Jandakot are a young club, founded in 2009. The Jets will be sporting a brand new kit this coming season, with a more fearsome Black guernsey with Green Sash. With 3 flags hanging in the clubrooms, the Jets want to fly higher than ever this year. Still training and playing at Atwell Reserve, Jandakot will be striving for glory and the game.

Kellyville wanted to honour their more famous Kangaroos cousins by naming their club the Boomers. Wearing Dual Gold Vees on a Green guernsey was another way to give a subtle nod to them also. The Boomers are excited to establish a club for this North-West community and will train and play at Paterson Reserve for their inaugural season.

Newcastle felt it was time for a top tier Australian football club to be awarded a franchise to the city. With a redevelopment of Newcastle No 1 Sports Ground in the works, the club want to showcase the Cavaliers in what would be the best arena in town. The Cavs will wear a Royal Blue jumper with Red Horizontal Bands and Gold Cuffs and Collar to align itself with the Newcastle sports community.

South Darwin was founded in 1981. In the ensuing 43 years, the Crocs have provided the football world with some of the most exciting talent. Now wearing Red, White and Brown Tricolour jumper, South want to take a bite out of the competition. The Crocs want to snap a win to add to their 3 flags to hoist at South Darwin Park.

West Hobart are the new boys of Tasmanian football. The Wattlebirds want to ruffle some feathers this year as they start their inaugural season. Playing and training at West Hobart Recreation Reserve, the Dubs want to have the whole Westside to come out and support their new team. Wearing Maroon, Green and Gold, West want their colours to fly high and proud.

Windsor-Zillmere have just celebrated 100 years of football after being founded in 1923. With an auspicious history of mergers and refinancing, the Metaltails their place in the football world. With 21 premierships in the trophy case, W-Z are a great success story. Playing and training at O’Callaghan Park, the Metaltails want to soar to new heights this season.

Illawarra have the metal to compete against the state’s best. The Ironman will be playing and training at North Dalton Park. Wearing a Red and White Quartered guernsey, Illawarra’s steely resolve will be tested in their inaugural season.

Going back to their roots, Mt Gravatt will be wearing a retro jumper in their first season in the league. A Royal Blue Sash on a White jumper will be worn. Established in 1964, the Vultures want to pick through the opposition this year to add to their 2 flags. Dittmar Park will again be Mt Gravatt’s training and playing base.

Sturt Football Club are the dons of South Australian football, wearing the Blues of Oxford and Cambridge. With 15 premierships and an array of champion players over the years, Sturt get the highest marks for sustained success. Founded in 1901, Sturt are the rivals every team want to test themselves against. Unley Oval will always be Sturt’s training and playing ground.
