What the hell happened down at the navy base yesterday? Anyone know?

we had a few out but no excuse's they played really good running football, carried the lines and ran to create. We did it in patches but not for four quarters. have we got ahead of ourselves? maybe. Are we as good as we think? maybe not. Full credit to the navy boys good game of footy and a good bunch of blokes. The two times we have played them it has been good clean footy with sportsmanship.

Could be a fair point. skye was heavy and we grounded out a draw, wet against mount twice and lost, beautiful day at the base but really heavy under foot another loss. taking nothing away from cerberus on the day they were a better team. Hopefully this is the wake up call we need.

Cobras should finish last. So far they have seen David the massive idiot belt 4 blokes, the twos coach chase Jase Valarsto out of the club and I hear (don't quote me) but Mick may take 10 players to a first division club.

I reckon the sfl may be in some turmoil!!!!

During the game our runner and a Skye player had a bit of go at each other, and then after the game they had a few more words and things go a little heated. Nothing serious, just a pit of pushing around.

Our runner was way out of line. Said some pretty stupid stuff and did some pretty stupid things. Definitely not the way we want to go about of footy.
Hopefully we can find someone else to do his duties for the rest of the year.

About the coaches....
Well, basically after the game our Coach went up to Skye's Coach to shake hand and the Skye's coach told him where to go and refused to shake his hand.
I understand that he would have been shattered after leading all day except for the last few minutes, but IMO to refuse to shake the oppositions hand after the game is pathetic.
Very poor sportsmanship, and setting a very bad example for the team he is supposed to be leading.

It seems to me that the most important player in Div 3 is Canterburys #3 Shane Jenkins. When he plays, he's in their best and they win. When he doesnt, they lose or draw. Why has he missed games and, will he be available for the finals, if they make it ????

Have heard since that a Skye player tripped over one the Mount players and it sort of started from there. Don't think Skye player meant to, and knowing who it was, I can actually imagine him stumbling like that.
This may not be the case. Just what i heard. Couldn't really see what was going on from the boundary.

I caught the first half of the game, and MT had some kid with long sleeves and orange hair playing for them. Is he your spy enemy, from within the MT camp... Didn't catch the post-match incident, any chance of reports and possibly some MT blokes missing the big game this week?

As I said, only caught the first half, but Skye looked the goods. Going back to people talking about the div 3 team, Stephens might be cemented at CHB by now I would think, and Gallagher is looking like he is 18 again, what's going on there. The bloke is 33 years old or something and running the pants of kids half his age.

No reports or anything like that. Really wasn't anything in it after the game. Just some words thrown.

Stephens was clearly Skye's best player. Read the play well and cut off alot of our forward 50 entries.
Gags was great in the first half. Run out of legs in the second, but he was the one who kept us in the game in the first half.

I would suggest that the division 2 sides near the bottom would trounce the top division 3 sides by close to 40 goals.

South Yarra's ones had pre-season victories against Parkmore and Murrumbeena, and South Yarra's not near the top of Div 3.
