i heard that he would have played seniors but punched the coach at a club function.
he should be playing u18s this week against huonville at huonville. most likely line up at full foward, it would be worth getting along to check him out. tip him to kick a bag!

Yeah it's odd isn't it? Wiggins kicked 60 + goals under Moose Lewis in a few seasons in a row. When Danny got appointed coach Dialer hasn't really had the same impact and was quick to be dropped at the first sign of trouble. Obviously Dialers kicking and decision making is not the best but hegets 25+ touches a game and kick goals. Who cares if he makes the odd mistake?

I watched the Dodges v Claremont reserves game with a couple of Dodges stalwarts and they seemed to think this is what was keeping him in the 12 o'clock game!

It is, no doubt. But his good far outweighs his bad. His fieldd kicking was a bit shit 6 years ago but he still kicked 65 goals for the year! The guy is still up to scratch when it comes to playing seniors. There's a few blokes in the ones who don't really have good skills either...but I guess they're favourites of the coach. Fabian Churchill comes to mind

While I don't know all the Dodges Ferry players, I'll back Danny Ling's judgment against mine or yours!

He played mostly seniors with Dodges but had some problems under Lingy. He wasn't handled well at all and Dodges lost a good player because of it. He'd be getting towards 30 now. Good bloke and easy to coach if you know him as a person.

Am I right in saying that there are a number of blokes at the club more than capable of playing senior football but lingy wont give them a chance.....or he has given them a chance and they have played under a quarter and they refuse to play seniors under him?

I know a couple of blokes who haven't been happy with their game time in the last couple of years but I don't know of anyone who has refused to player under him.

I didnt mean refuse but would rather play a full game in the 2s than be a bench warmer in the 1s. Its funny to note that over the years they have had alot of fringe players move on and play senior footy else where. Should be an interesting clash between NNF and the sharks this weekend.

he has given them a chance and they have played under a quarter for some, then there are others that deserve a go but he don't rate them so they don't get a game,

some players don't refuse to play but would prefer to play a full game in the 2's rather than 1 or 2 q in the 1's

it's wird how that works with fringe players, d.f got one this year in gabe morgan who played mainly 2's at sorell last year but has played every game in the 1's this year 4 d.f

Highly doubt it butcherboy. Dodges have a bit of cash to throw about...I reckon Diala would play seniors for free anyway. Top bloke who loves his footy.
