Sorell Football Club could possibly come out of the shadows next season with rumours being that a number of Clarence Under 18's are set to return to their old stomping ground. Nick Richards and Darcy Navickas have both publicly announced their interest in returning home. Could this be the start of the rejuvenation of Sorell FC?

I'm sure Sorell would be bloody happy to get any good kids back into their club. That club is in the shitter and isn't all that far away from flushed down the bowl, IMO. They badly need some recruits next season.

all your mates ahyy

it will be intresting to see how big the tsl crowds are this week to the sfl, the mercury isn't aloud to publish crowd attendnces or rough estimates of crowds for the sfl because tsl won't let them becuase they know more people go to sfl games

good game this sat between d.f and n.n maybe if it rains n.n might just get over the line

Yeah, SFL crowds > TSL crowds. Much better atmosphere at SFL games too. Can't beat a Dodges v Sorell derby.:thumbsu:

Not really possible to tell though, is it?
No officially counted crowds. 600 at Dodges or Kingston Beach is naturally going to look better than 800-1000 at North Hobart, Bellerive or York Park with their much larger capacities.
I will agree with the atmosphere being better at the SFL than the current TSL, you cannot generate any sort of atmosphere at large stadiums unless they're more than half full.

I agree with u there butcherboy. The players named all have very average stats and no one has ever heard of them. Haha funny how they want people to talk them up but it seems they are embarrassing themselves. Obviously not good enough to get into clarences under 23s team next season.

Probably should watch someone play before you say if they are any good or not.

True, but I know for a fact that there has been some huge crowds down at Shark Park before. The opening game against Kingston last year was packed. I was there a few years back for a Sorell v Dodges game and spoke with a few Clarence supporters that were at the match. They told me that there were twice as many at the game than what they'd normally get to a Clarence v Glenorchy game!

I went to Lauderdale v North Hobart (at Lauderdale) earlier this year, pretty large crowd. Could hear a bloody pin drop in there though! Different leagues, different type supporters.

Well well...Jamie Ling named for Dodges despite not having played in months. Disgraceful decision.

I strongly agree with you JS#35, playing underdone players straight back in the ones especially for a final is possibly a reason the sharks have came up short the past few years, Not my personal first choice to come into that side but im not coaching there, Hope for Dodges Ferrys sake that they prove us wrong and they can deliver this year.

They lost against Norfolk unfortunately. Didn't kick a goal after quarter time.

Big game coming up now.

I heard Brad Carver was having serious talks with Sorell?? Any truth in it? Also heard that Ricky Martin was moving to Primrose Sands, one would think it's a long way to travel to New Norfolk, Dodges would be much closer???

Haven't heard that about Carves. Surely he wouldn't go to bloody Sorell? They're terrible. Must still have lots of money to throw about if that's true. As for Martin, I'm sure Dodges could make room for him in their forward line:D He'd be a good pick up since Lampkin is a bit injury prone and Justin Howe rarely gets on the park!

You wouldn't think so Carves is the heart and soul of NN it would certainly be a real shock. Im sure any team would make room for Martin in their forward line, he's had a great year - I went and had a look at NN on the weekend - in terrible conditions it wasn't a bad game BUT gavin hanlon surely is the biggest spaz in the SFL dont know how he gets a game.

Never heard of Barwick to be honest. Have been hearing gripes for sometime about alot Claremonts better junior players jumping ship next year because of the way mates look after mates at the selection table. If true then they should be very concerned but sometimes clubs need a kick up the bum. James Lang from the Lions is my hot tip for the B&F. I have seen alot of his games and he has carved them up most times and is rarely out of the top 3 come the Sunday Tasmanian. Anyone else got their favourites from other clubs apart from Huonville.

Good Call. Super Player James Lang best player at huonville by a street and should get nearly all their 3s I would be amazed if this guy doesn't finish top 3. I have never seen him play a bad game. Brad Carver will surely catch the eye of the umpires in a few games.

Kane Waller from Dodges for me. Selected for the state side and now selected for the National squad that heads to South Africa, He is a class act and deserves the B&F as much as anyone else. 16 times named in their best players down at Dodges. You can't get much more consistent than that. I would have him on my team any day of the week.

Agree with that..:thumbsu:

Dodges Ferry 2 beat Huonville by 27pts

Claremont 2 beat Brighton by 16pts

Brighton 2 beat New Norfolk by 20pts

Dodges v Huonville will be interesting. Dodges should win on the big ground but Huon could snatch the game if they give good delivery to Jock, Sullivan and Garthy. Other than Blacky Curran I don't think Dodges have a guy that can really play on the gorillas. Dolliver could line up on one of them. Tim Cannon will probably get one as well but he's giving up some height

Looks like the two most consistent teams of the 2010 season will line up against each other in this weekends Grand Final. Any tips?
