Brent Webster appeal

$34,000 has been raised at the Brent Webster fund raiser @ Glenorchy football club rooms.

Peter Gee was great and Dermi, Brett Geeves and Dougie Hawkins turned it on.

Bucket and Wiggo deserve a medal.

Hey Duffster,

Surprised you haven't made any mention about meeting the messiah himself, the purveyor of all rumors, facts and gospel on footy in Southern Tasmania.

The man with impeccable sources of information. ;)

Great Night had by all Duff, and awesome that so many people turned up and spent up.

Bit disappointing that Glenorchy was only represented by two current players at the function, after all the turmoil of the last month or so you would think that, after being asked to get a table together they would have fronted up.

I admit not a club function for them but was organised by one of their greats for a good cause. Was the only negative on what was a great night.

Just heard from a good source that one of Kermandie's favourite son's and former bench coach Matthew Bell is being considered to coach the robin's in 2009
can categorically confirm that he isnt slightly interested and that if rumours are true they will not field sides in this years roster. The introduction of Kingborough into the roster has all but decimated their numbers, half last years side were originally from or reside at Kingston.

Is this the great Wiggo from Burnie and Devonport ?

Not to underestimate the drawing power of Kermandie's favourite Son, 2005 and 2007 Premiership Coach, "Pinner" Henley.

Where is the loyalty to the Robins?

One and the same. From what I can gather got Bucket out of the poo once Hodge withdrew for whatever reason. Full marks to the big red head, or as Doug Hawkins called him "Brad Hardie"!

Can someone please list the arrivals and departures for the sfl clubs and how they all look. Who is the early premership favorites?

Was reading in todays Mercury, that Hobart are going to be playing games at snug in "the heart of the clubs recruitment zone"

This is already the beginning of the end of SWL

Remember the southern cats playing at Huonville.......... didnt work
Hobart have NO SUPPORT in the south,
What are Hobart doing to promote football to juniors in there zone.... NOTHING
What happens to the 300 kids playing underage for Kingborough, do they expect the to go to Hobart FC.......... wont happen

Hobart and Kingborough have a very frosty relationship, now the expect to pick up there players...

Thats why the young players that wanted to play in the SW went to Clarence with Blighty....

It is very disapointing to see KERMANDIE having to go into recess this late in the year, if this proud and successful club cant survive what hope is there for many of the other teams in the comp?.

the players new norfolk have lost are they quality players?

The 3 that have left all played senior footy but are no major loss, specially with the quality of inclusions that they have for this year...real shame they are not in the swl, would match up well against the majority of the sides and would be a finals side in that comp imo
