It's not as if the story of Spartacus is any great secret. How many movies have been made telling the story? It's a well known part of history. If I told you how they play it out in the series, now that would be a spoiler.

It's no different to telling someone that the Titanic sinks before they see the movie (excusing the need to travel back in time). Is that a spoiler?
