Not a bad start. Saw more of Quinn than I ever needed to though.

Hopefully Dexter cleaned up after himself in the bathroom, otherwise we could be seeing that mess again at some stage.

Very disappointing opener for me. No excitement at all, and not really poignant enough to justify what they were trying to do. I hope they can pick up the pace next week because after last season that was a bit of a fizzer in my book.

Absolutely loved the throwback to the Funeral Home, ala Six Feet Under.

Really liked the episode.

Deb is clearly suspicious, but it looks like she is trying to convince herself otherwise.

Quin is locked on though. No doubt in his mind.

Masuka is awesome.

Yeah it was a bit of a dud ep.

Just Dex sitting there with a blank look on his face.

Astor let him have it which is what he deserved "YOU DON'T EVEN CARE!!!"

Deb + Quinn = lulz. He's so damaged after the crazy girlfriend.

The only good bit was when he slaughtered that guy in the boathouse toilets. It was good to get Harry back at that point, seemed like there was more direction after that.

The Feds are gonna give Dex a big grilling next ep.

It's not like they're gonna find Trinity

Yeah had to grin at them going to a funeral home, classic stuff. Wasn't expecting a huge return given all that happened last season, though pretty obvious that they weren't about to have Dexter leave everyone behind and go off on his own.

Decent opener, now for some more serial killer stuff.

I really liked it to be honest. Granted some parts were pretty average (agree with the Laguerta shit).

So awesome when he gets angry and how he lets it all out. Awesome stuff.
Hate Quinn but he's on the trail, you can just see that look on Deb's face and the way she panics about everything to know she realizes something is up.

Quinn's fantastic. I don't like him as a person, but as a character he is pretty crucial, and represents the 'man's man' character to dexter's somewhat nerdy persona.

Great stuff.

Laguerta has always shitted me. And to a lesser extent Batista.

Masuka has always been fantastic, except for that part when he had feelings back in Season 3 I think it was.

Pretty standard episode but as someone said the one we had to have to tie things up.

I did like Dexter telling the kids 'sorry for your loss' Sums him up to a tee.

Why is that? And you are right, it won't happen. As many have said, tied up all the loose ends from season 4, now for the real stuff. I thought episode 2 would have been out by now?

I get the feeling season five will follow the second half of the fourth book some what. Will predict Quinn dying by the end of the season but not by Dexters hand. Probably by some guy who knows the man he killed in the boathouse.

2nd episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I'll always watch Dexter, but this season doesn't have a whole lot going for it so far.

Second episode was a step up from last week but still not fantastic. I'm glad the grandparents took the kids because I don't think I could stand another episode of Astor's whinning. I hope the season picks up from here now that the Rita and kids storylines are wrapped up.

You really think Rita and the kids are done with?

First couple of episodes have done a good job in setting up the season. Dexter has himself a nice little serial killer, rather than some big one being chased by every man and his dog. I could do without the Angel/LaGuerta parts though.

My guess will be that by the end of the season Quinn will find out about Dexter, and they'll both just live with it. With him even handing Dexter bad guys who he can't put away. Or Deb will find out and kill Quinn so he doesn't expose Dexter. I prefer the first one, because I can't see them killing off another main character after Doakes and Rita.

because this is a tv show and not real life im glad the kids are gone, every scene was them in mourning, which in real life fair enough, but the shows moved on and dex aint a single dad, he's a serial killer

Deb living with him will probably be the thing that brings him down of they keep living together, can't keep doing the research with her walking in

quinn is turning into a legend, they seem to be really struggling with Batista and Laguerta, its painful watching them crap on about nothing

like the kyle butler angle

WTF was with the Batista Laguerta sub plot. Surely there's something behind it all because that was a gigantic waste of time. Who gives a flying ****.

Ok episode without that sub plot, Boyd Fowler's a ****ed up dude. Still not sure how I feel about there being the one 'big bad' each week or stretched to a few rather than a big big bad like Trinity.

Still, FMD if what happens in the promo for next week eventuates.

Yeah i was laughing about the laguerta/batista thing because it was so pointless.

The animal disposal guy is a suitable villain. I like his killing methods, with the voltage and all. Assuming that he was killing them . . . why else would he zap them?

I'm sure Dex will handball the baby off to Deb when appropriate to the plot, but otherwise the baby's alright because it's the Dex story coming full circle, etc.

What's with Quinn's hairdo and tan? He's also lost some weight. He's crazy.

The conversation between Deb and him about their sexual encounter was the funniest bit of the show. Well done.
