Great 3rd episode. A huge improvement from the last 2 weeks.
Who else is hoping Batista is locked up so his whole storyline with Laguerta is over?

How ****ing 'creepy' was the scene with Dexter sharpening the knives? Imagine waking up to that!
Also loved the look on Dexters face when Boyd shot him with the tranq.

Wow! What an ep, the season improves with every episode that's for sure!
Not sure how Dex is going to get out of this situation. Killing the witness would violate 'Harry's Code', but if he doesn't do so how is he going to ensure that the survivor keeps quiet as surely she'll go to the police given her ordeal. The only way I can think of is if the survivor repays Dexter for saving her by instead stating that she was the one who killed him and not mentioning that Dexter was there.
However, the problem with this is that the paramedics are witness to the fact that the last person Boyd Fowler was seen alive with was Dexter.
Also, did anyone else notice Dexter made a slip up by not wearing gloves when he drugged Boyd Fowler at his home. I seem to recall him grabbing the gun, and touching the table as he sat on it. His fingerprints will be all over the place! Perhaps Harry was right - his mind is slipping and he is making mistakes as a result.
Other notes I made:
1. The new Latina cop looks to be the killer, but this seems way too obvious and there has to be more to it than that. Either way she is somehow connected to the murders given the shop keeper was dead soon as she paid him a visit. Besides, wasn't she the one who recommended that Deb and her pay him a visit to interview him? If she were the killer why would she lead the cops to someone who might have information and knowledge of her being the killer.
2. The scene where Dexter freaks out and thinks the nanny took Harry Jnr suggests there could be more to this in episodes to come. Deb's off the cuff reference to the reason why she left Ireland is another factor which points to this being a possible storyline.

Either they are trying to distract us from something else, or the nanny will turn out to be a psycho. I am dreading the final show of the season - the nanny steals or kills the baby. Since becoming a father I don't like those sorts of story lines at all so I hope its just designed as a distraction from the new cop.
My other theory about the new lady cop... she gets it on with Deb.

Literally had the same thought in the scene after they walked out of the guys shop/house when he gave them no information the first time. Would be a nice ratings kick for them I'd say.

Not only the creepiness of the Nanny already, but the whole therapy session with the therapist saying about how right now he wouldn't be affected by Rita's death, just made me think that there's going to be something big happen towards the end of the season when he's a little bit older, has those cognitive functions and can be affected by something big happening.
Definitely a 'watch this space' type of situation.
And have to say the introduction of Julia Stiles was perfect and absolutely nothing to what I expected.
No idea where the Quinn thing is going though, surely they're not going to kill him off similar to Doakes? But we know for sure that he'll find out Dexter was at least Kyle Butler, leading to the knowledge that Trinity most likely found out about him and his family that way. But how is it all going to break down and how will Quinn confront Dexter about it is going to be all kinds of epic.

Really enjoying this season so far. The writing and drama is excellent.
I'll never understand comments regarding 'slow episode' or 'it's starting to pick up now,' etc. I'd hate for some people on here to write the show. While their may be episodes where it doesn't appear much is happening, we surely can now be at point where we can trust the Dexter writers to know what they are doing.
