I can't even find the posts i was referring to now. Maybe I imagined it..

I Absolutely despise #100 and the Shaman
Thanos was annoying and I hated him, but that was kind of point of his character, so he begrudgingly gets a pass for me.

The stupid "Sharman" though, unless we learn something new about her next season what's even the point, she's just a Temu version of the S1 crazy lady.

If ever a series should've remained a one off, then this was it.

It didn't need a 2nd series. Detective Jun-ho finds his brother. We learn why the games are happening. The old man behind it all dies. It's strange that there were no VIPs observing the games in season 2. Isn't that the point of it all?

But Netflix were always going to cash in on their most popular show ever. It was a plausible set up that Gi-hun wanted to go back and end the games. They could have definitely wrapped it up season 2. The good news is that season 3 is already in the can and awaiting post-production, so we might not have to wait too long.

Sounds like some people just wanted a rehash of the first season? I'm glad they didn't do that. I thought they did a really good job of not completely ****ing it up (like I was expecting). I found it engaging the whole way through. Looking forward to the final instalment.
Didn’t have to be exactly the same but it makes sense to stick with what works.

There was enough different with
456 going back in looking for revenge
that we didn’t need to much changed from that.

Nothing wrong with it per se, just didn’t think it was as good.

Hey does everyone know there is an end credit scene? Looks like a Season 3 teaser
Gives a bit of a hint where things might go...
I saw it but does it? Looks like the opposite of the same game didn’t it?

Netflix have definitely milked it, i like the actors, but the story could've ended after series 2. We know 001 is crooked as a dog's hind leg, that was obvious. I'll still watch series 3 because of the unusual nature of the show.

Loved it. Was always going to be interesting to see how they would follow up Season 1.

The dissent amongst the guards was interesting and illustrates the hubris that comes from being allowed to do something for so long with zero accountability. It also shows the management don't have the iron fist control of the games as they think.

Was surprised Gi-hun wasn't more suspicious of 001.

Hyun-Ju (Player 120) was one of my favourites of this series.

Was disappointed that Gong Yoo died although clever how Gi-hun sucked him in to having to prove his worth other than being a lap dog.

A few comments in here about how it felt unfulfilled probably answered by the fact that seasons 2 and 3 were meant to be one season but the creator split them into two because there were too many episodes (maybe ordered by Netflix or something?)

Admittedly, the VIP's didn't enter the scene until later in Season 1, and as far as we know, they can still all be betting on the outcomes, including betting on whether players vote to stay or go. Season 2 has a better array multi bets for the VIPs.

Rumour is late 2025.

Cobra Kai in Feb
Stranger Things in June / July
Squid Games in Nov / Dec

Yeah, that and that the season finale was 'the natural halfway point'. Reading this beforehand helped, but I can understand why some had the view they did.
