Mostly enjoyed that season, even if my favourite episode was the first one, Bread and Lottery.

And I was even impressed that they managed to replicate the same formula with the games but make it feel different.

But the last episode was disappointing, felt too silly (as did a lot of Gi-hun's plans once he came back). The split season doesn't help either - might feel differently if I knew 3 was coming in a couple of months rather than (most likely) another year.

I think the front man was just like Gi-hun but his life circumstances, and the games, corrupted him. He entered the games again as 001 in an attempt to corrupt Gi-hun at a personal level and will ultimately fail. He will have a heel face turn and help Gi-hun end the Korean games for good in season 3 imo. The ending will explicitly reveal that there are many more squid games, one in the US, one in Germany, one in India etc leading to spin off series (I fully expect there to be an American version made).

I liked seeing the life of a guard. It was diffeeent. When in season 1 they were all just masks with shapes.

Obviously front man was obvious. wonder how he survived the games though. I mean there was risk…I guess like 001 in season one. But you knew he was gonna double cross. So I guess what’s gonna happen in season 3 with him. It’d be the ultimate look over there stab stab kill he’s actually a good guy in the end.

The boat captain is a campaigner. Double crosser. Now if he is gonna complete his job he’d kill all the marines on board. What was he doing with the drone?

If you google squid game you can play red light green light.

Loved player 95. So beautiful and quiet. Vale 95.

The game deaths in this season didn’t hit me in the feels like season one. The tug of war was harrowing. As was hopscotch.

Korean with English subtitles.

230 with the purple hair was fun in a cute kind of way - shame he got forked.

I can't buy the events of the last episode though, for an organisation that was so disciplined on time, management and security, the ease in which the uprising was able to happen seems at odds with the whole thing.

PLUS, how many bloody guards are there? More just appeared out of nowhere after the players breached the room and were in their gunfights, so why didn't all of the guards all storm the bunks together and from all entrances at the beginning of it?

Notice how purple hair thanos rapper spoke English?

Have a theory. The following will form a counter strike team in the next instalment

Gi-hun (456)
Front Man (001) - I think Gi-Hun knew he was one of them in this classical game of cat and mouse
No-Eul (Pink Solider 11) - shows a vulnerability which isnt what being a soldier is. Will crack and team up.

Felt the same. Surely they would just lock them in the room and starve them. Breaking the window door and escaping felt like a massive let down for me so I thought maybe player 1 front man instructed them to let it happen.

Season one also had its flaws. The cop managed to get around the site undetected for days even interacting with the VIPs. As well as that doctor they were giving info to for help with removing body organs for cash.

Didn't the old man tell the front man how much more fun it was playing the games as opposed to watching at the end of S1? Or did I imagine that.

Could have played a part in him playing again. He seemed to be having fun for the most part, especially messing with them during the pentathlon.

Thought it was a great second effort myself, enjoyed all the characters. Thanos was hilarious imo.
