it'll be interesting to see the other media outlets cover this and if they do.

Exactly. Can't see him saying any of this unless he has evidence.

I guess that depends on whether he is on Channel 9's payroll ;)

I mean seriously how can you prove that something went missing from your desk for 7 hours .... 6 years down the track

How can you prove you found police papers concerning the case in your photocopier that you didn't leave there .... 6 years down the track

Yes seems that way ... if he can't prove his allegations with hard evidence then its his word versus theirs

Mr Gladman is setting himself up for a pretty embarrasing fall ... just a matter of time

You obviously haven't been watching underbelly (i know it's not 100% factual). However, I think it is safe to say that corruption is rife through the police force, and people like Mr Gladman who speak out are just trying to do the right thing.

We should applaud his courage not use the he said she said argument.

I see no real benefit from him to bring this up, it's not like he didn't put his name to the allegations.

Fair bit to put on the line over someone just trying to get an AFL club they dislike a bit of bad media.

Whats the saying "where there's smoke, there's fire"

Another nothing story designed to sell newspapers during a slow football week. Surely it's no coincidence it comes out during the mid-season break and prior to St Kilda playing the GF replay.

If it's an attempt to derail St Kilda or distract the team before Friday night's game it won't work. Lyon is an expert at keeping the players in a bubble and focused on the game ahead.

as far as im concerned its just another attempt by the media and/or collingwood to stir the pot ahead of a big game for the saints...

ie. pregnant school girl... non story

maybe the cop is a geelong fan... :) pretty funny time for it all to pop up

So where does your source for this come from? The infatuation continues.

Collingwood?

Haven't youy heard, Ed is somewhere behind the scenes at 9 bribing the cop to say all of this. Rubbing is hands together with glee ala an evil cartoon character, he says to himself "I'll get those Saints once and for all! Mwhahaha!"

Maybe he photocopied it to protect himself.

Victoria = corruption central:eek:

I wonder how many 'incidents' have been covered up.
No doubt the VFL still colludes with the bent Vicorian police force.

MONEY?? The media is reporting he is a former detective

Maybe the GFC hit him hard....;)

there were no charges laid
this is from the same cop shop where drugs were found in the ceiling (and no charges laid)

stop living in lala land, cops have agendas, they will say and do as they please, cops are as good liars as are the crooks

have a look at the stokes situation, i can not remember another case of someone buying 1g of drugs being harrassed like him, no-one can say there was no agenda there

johnson at freo, the jails would be full of guys buying a hit, get real, the cops have agendas

as for groupies, stuff is said and done that many of us would not understand, like a 16 year old chasing footballer after footballer

leave the blokes alone, this would be sould destroying for them, let alone the female involved if she was r*ped

no-one wins, this is total crap

just because we all dislike milne does not mean we go off on a tangent

this copper is full of it, so what is st kilda saw the players interview (no harm) as the players would have had a copy of it
they saw the chicks interview statment, well if charges were going to be laid then this would be available anyway

where was this cop when the cops mixed up dna and the wrong man was convicted based on poor policework

there is no detail of corruption, at worst information being leaked
if it is ok for the head of vic police, it is ok for the rest

havn't you muppets (espically collingwood supporters) learn't from the St.K/school girl fiasco not to assume stuff?

and he didn't report to internal affairs because

load of crapola

just like the dj's chick, is off to the lawyers rather than letting hr do the their job
but then again hr would not be giving her $$$ to shut her up

This was always dubbed as a cover up from the start. The word around the trap it was unofficially settled out of court with money to stay quiet.

Just looking at Milne and how he portays himself, speaks, he doens't appear like an very honest person.
What the hell makes you say that? He would be on the media once a year and hasn't said anything bad.

So he is a yapper on the field, most small forwards are.

Take a look at yourself, keyboard warrior.

Quiet news week in the AFL? Hutchy should just take a week holidays and come back fresh after the break .

Part of the problem is that the general public never believed that this alleged rape investgation was above board.

From day one the public smelt a rat. The general consensious was that there was something dodgy in this whole investigation. That in my opinion has been why Milne has copped ( excuse the pun ) so much shit over the ensuing years.

The story , the sequence of events the way it panned out ..... never had the confidence of the general public.

Do I know if Milne is guilty of the accusation... NO I DONT...... but do I have or have I ever had confidence that justice was served here.. NO I DONT....:(

Its a bit like the old Cheech and Chong sketch:

A Indian Chief was walking with his elders across the plains of Montana when he looked down and said " that looks like bear shit " so he said to one of his elder tribesman "smell it" .... elder replies " it smell like bear shit"... chief " touch it "... elder " feels like bear shit "..... chief " taste it ".....elder " taste like bear shit " Chief " good thing I didn't step in it "

Moral of the tale if it looks like bullshit and smells like bullshit it probably is.

As a wise man US president once said: " You can fool some of the people all of the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you cant fool all of the people all of the time"

it is notoriously hard for a rape case to reach a point of prosecution....

some quick figures:

1 in 6 women have/will experience attempted/completed rape (US figures)
only 16% of rapes/sexual assaults are reported to police
of those which are reported, only 6.5% end in a conviction

even if you're known to the victim, even if it happened in broad day light, even if you're a famous footballer, statistically you're extremely unlikely to be found guilty of raping someone... this is largely due tot he fact that its humiliating for the victim to come forward in the first place, followed by the difficulty in proving not only that the sexual assault occurred, but that it was also non-consenting...

lol to whoever said: "Unlucky for the Saints if this starts up again"
you're a dud

What does any of the above have to do with anything?

There is no substance whatsoever to any 'new' information stemming from the cop's interview. Nothing that he said in anyway even vaguely suggested that anything happened that compromised the police's ability to put a case together - if they had eveidence that anything happened then charges would have been laid, end of story.

No amount of attempted coersion from possibly-St Kilda-barracking police officers, no amount of alleged photocopying of evidence, no amount of alleged disclosure of evidence to the defendants - all of which are shadowy allegations from a clearly disgruntled ex-cop with a chip on his shoulder about something and nothing more - would have any impact on whether or not Milney and Joey had a case to answer. They didn't then and they didn't now, no matter what bullshit Channel 9 will dig up in their feeble attempt to spike ratings...

All this does is provide pleasure to a ******* minority of opposition supporters on here and at the footy on the weekends who get off on this sort of shit. You know who you are, and if you're reading this and you're not sure, then yes, it's probably you....

If this guys turns out to have any cred at all this will turn into a major shit storm. this one just won't go away will it?

lol at the Eddie conspiracy - as if they would waste a moment on this:D

I know where you are coming from but suppose what he is saying is true. Any case (especially rape involving a footy star) where evidence that could be the key to determining innocence or guilt has gone missing is pretty damn explosive. Yes he may have an alterior motive but he may not.

Like it or not this thing is not going to ever go away for Milne and Motagna and if they are truly innocent, sadly will probably overshadow their footy careers. It's one of those things where even if not true your reputation is damaged beyond repair anyway. Except of course, in Saint's supporter's eyes.

Am I the only one who doesn't think it's a coincidence that Channel 9 somehow got this exclusive? Eddie McGuire payback for the fallout stemming from the spiteful clash earlier this season?

Yep,Eddie and Mick run Nine News.Notice they even had a Collingwood supporter reading the news, not the usual StKilda supporting newsreader ?
It's all a conspiracy I tells ya :p
