Nice for the girls to get back onto the winners list after a couple of tough weeks. Crikey the AFL didnt do them any favours having to travel and play in Adelaide only 5 days ago. So the win is even more impressive well done girls!

Wardlaw has been a massive pick up. We've been a different team with her in the side.

Great win. Thought we may have struggled with the players we had out but we were on from about 5 minutes in. We have definitely improved immensely over the past 2 years. You can tell they are playing to a system and not just running around like headless chooks any more.

Smith's goal was outstanding. She could be anything. Still only 21 and still very light. In and out of games atm, but you can see she is going to be special. Think Ash Richards is also starting to find her feet. She's still only 20 and has a great set of hands. Watson has improved out of sight. The trading of her and Wardlaw has been a huge positive. Lambert has been terrific. Her skill and poise are first class and she sets a great example. We still need more help in close though.

Still worry about Hannah Priest. I understand what she brings as a leader and as the face of our women's program, but she fumbles constantly, drops easy marks, gets beaten in one on ones too often, and is as slow as a wet week. She's had disposal numbers of 3,8,5,5,4 in 5 of the 7 games this season. We need more from the captain. Jakobsson has been a bit quieter this year as well but she's got a lot more help down back this year and the backline is functioning pretty well.

Anyway the games are so much more watchable than they were only a few years ago. The girls are getting better and there is so much scope for more professionalism and improvement still. In 5 more years the game will be unrecognisable from the game that was, quite frankly, nearly unwatchable 5 years ago. Well done girls.

Does anyone know how our injuries are going. Is Patrikios any chance of getting back if we play finals?
