I reckon Dempster with get first crack.
Probably the best match up for him but I'm worried about his pace.

Dempster or Geary for me. Even Gilbert might be a solid match up.
Geary would get murdered in my opinion, not strong enough.

He's an absolute gun Stringer and a unique player to match up on as he is good in the air and on the ground. I'd say Gilbert would be the best match-up but not sure the coaching staff want to lose his offensive stuff..... Dempster would be the other one potentially.

Forget about Stringer it is all about clearances & contested ball win it all game and we will win.

If Lee didn't play against Port I think he's no chance to play against the dogs unless we have an injury.
Geary was a liability. Not just his kicking. Lacked his usual defensive pressure. Plus Lee adds the swingman factor to our team.

Odd solid punch to the jaw caught on camera. Guess we all know the AFL has its favourites.
And Port had Dixon, Schultz and Westhoff. Dogs are a lot smaller and a lot faster.

I don't think so he would be on Boyd. Stringer would be up to his waist. It would be like watching a chihuahua on a Great Dane.

This is going to be an intriguing match. With the Pies losing Sidebottom for two weeks and Swan for a long time (really bummed about that one as I love Swanny) they will be very vulnerable at the MCG in a fortnights time.
Now that is one game that I had definitely banked on losing. We showed that we can trouble the Dogs last year, however their form at the moment looks very strong. If we can manage a win here though, we're really setting ourselves up to go 2-1 when most would have had us 0-3. I would expect a huge effort in light of Rooeys 300th.
The focus for this week needs to be playing 4 good quarters. If we can do that then we can win.
