gotta love the way these guys in higher grades think they are gods gift to football! they say that no player in 3rd div is good enough to play 1st or 2nd divvy yet guys like memo dimachki who only played divvy 3 2 years ago dominate in the top grade!

Great point mate, we knocked off 2 teams in preseason last year from div 2, i know a few years ago VAFA v SFL at moorabbin, A Div 3 player and let me say the only div 3 player playing was named B.O.G for the southern team, which was full of balwyn, east brighton, clayton other so called Div 1 gun players.

I don't have a problem whether guys play Div 1, 2 or 3. So long as you're enjoying it good luck to you. As they say, "You're a long time not playing" once you've retired.

Highlighting individual players doesn't say much about the strength of a competition. The overall strength of a division (or entire league) is governed by the weakest players on the field, not a handfull of gun players.

A team might contain the 3 best players in the league but if the rest are nuffies they'll get smashed by opposing teams that have a more even spread of skill.

That's a refreshing dose of common sense Hoax. There is way too much time devoted to comparisons and people trying to trash each other's standard of footy etc. WHO CARES! As long as the blokes playing enjoy it what difference does it make? If you're not playing AFL/VFL then really you're on the second tier anyway. Good post!

I second that return of the pies. At the end of the day your having a kick with your mates and getting a bit of physical exercise in. As i have said before i have played seniors in all three grades and these blokes who think the standard is miles apart have there hand firmly fixed upon it, and really need to have a good hard look at themselves. After all you blokes its just a game and we play it because we love it.........

read in the leader a few weeks back that he had told keysy that he isnt playing at all this year. he was rumoured to be heading to springy districts before xmas. time will tell i spose.

gonna play with west london wildcats...already been to a few sessions and a pub crawl,etc....good bunch of blokes...got a few handy types from bendigo way...good blokes too. was gonna be able to et tickets too wembley to watch boro play in the semis of the fa cup...but the duds lost to a div 1 team!!! so try and get to a game later...plenty of time...no rush to get home...good times over here!! got any reccomendations while im here? the foods about as bad that pizza shop of yours! terrible food! apart from that all good...good pub culture!! good luck in 08 mate....gonna play out of the square? Cardona playing again?
