I found that a tad hypocritical too - she goes on throughout the article how he deserves a chance to put it all behind him and start afresh, yet she's selling her story to the press.

Not condoning Stevo's actions as that would also be hypocritical, but if reports of he and Kelli being separated at the time are true, then grief does strange things to a man.

Apparently the papers went to her and told her they were going to print it anyway, so it was either she tell her story or they let people form their own opinions. If this is true then I respect this girl for having such an understanding attitude in the article.

It is such a nothing story, it happened last year, for Pete's sake. He is now retired!! I reckon EVERYBODY is over the whole thing, anyway! The Editor said that he considered it so newsworthy because of the role Stevens played in the Carey saga and that is the role of "victim"..what the...????

I am not usually into conspiracy theories but this smacks of something.

I cannot believe this was considered so interesting to the general population that it made the front page. It is a blatant character assassination on Stevo and I would like to know WHY???????

basically i would of thought an affair is over a long period of time which makes it sound worse than it is

and a fling is a quickie which in stevos state of mind at the time might of been anyone who would listen, a barmaid being a campaignerry barmaid being the perfect sounding board for ones troubles.

I totally agree with you about the fling and the Herald Sun, in fact I am cancelling my home delivery of it because I don't need this rubbish over breakfast.

OK. Let me first state that I haven't read the article, but if it is true, then it is interesting peoples reactions to it compared to that of Careys affair.
