called eb point cook about couple hours ago. theres a chance that they will stock up tomorrow and will sell until closing time which he said is 6.

i really doubt this due to it being a sunday and all but i will give them a call tomorrow morning and see whats happening. maybe head office has given the go ahead?

Good to hear, unfortunately it's way too far away from me. :( Hopefully my EB could do the same....

Oh yes! Good stuff champ, keep us posted! I can be there in 10 mins tomorrow haha

anyone know anything about sydney?
honestly im thinking sydney wont get it any quicker than melbourne as there unlikely to deliver on a sunday and they dont currently have it (not that im aware of anyway)

have actually not heard 1 thing at all about Sydney, Darwin, Canberra or Hobart. keep checking the thread and eventually something will come up mate

Sorry mate, Geelong/Melbourne will be getting it last. Sucks that the closer you are to the heart of footy the longer it'll be before we can get our grimey little hands on this gem.

Monday will be best case scenario. I know I'm going to get up first thing on Monday, call around and as soon as I get a confirmation of a copy being available I'm going to piss-bolt down there and pick it up.

It would seem if you're really, really desperate you can go for a drive to a more regional area of Victoria. Ballarat has had some copies, so I would imagine areas near Ballarat would be similar.

Essentially the closer to Melbourne you are, the longer it will take. They've left delivery to Melbourne until the last second and as you get further away, the shipments were sent earlier to cover any possible delays, hence why WA (the bastards :p) already have it.

Ahh this sucks. I've already preordered at EB in town but I don't wanna have to wait until Thursday when everyone will already have a leg up.

You wont be man. Wednesday latest even with the pre-order it will break officially a day early. If not, call your EB which you pre ordered it on, on say Monday afternoon and just say look mate this EB has been selling the game as has various Target stores and Big W stores if I bring in photographic proof can I please get my copy today?

Its not a question of will they have it in stock, its up to the manager, and if they are like Glenno, you might not have a reasonable chance but I think they wont be.

I highly doubt you'll be waiting until Thursday. All signs are pointing to Monday/Tuesday with Wednesday being the latest. Every store will be eager to get the games on the shelves to compete, especially EB (who should receive their stock on Monday).

I can't judge Glenno as a person as I've never met him. I know he had to buy that game as part of his job. But it's pretty hypocritical; "Wait till my launch, it will be great. Don't get the game early." All the while he'd be playing it at home.

He didn't have to buy it at all. Anyway. Let's not worry about this glenno bloke as you're all just gonna get me carded :p

He didnt say dont get it early, he said people should be patient.

I swear within a few days people will say he brutally r*ped and murdered a child that was between him and the game.

you're an ignoramus

he did have to buy it - its his company's procedure to buy it and report it to his head office

he probably didnt need to come and tell everyone here - but so be it

NO GRRO HE DIDNT HAVE TO BUY IT HE COULDVE LET TARGET KEEP SELLING IT, HES SO SELFISH WORRYING ABOUT HIS OWN BUSINESS AND YET HE RAPES AND MURDERS A CHILD TO GET THE GAME EARLY

glenno should feel let down by his head office , he followed their procedure , put in a tonne of effort for them in promoting the game , driving pre orders , organising a launch event and a) they clearly did nothing to restrict target selling the game all over perth today after he notified them and b) they havent provided him with stock to compete with target

You were wrong ;) It took 1 post.

I still can't believe that he did that to that defenseless and sick homeless kid.
Also I heard that he kicked a cat that looked at him funny while was walking from his car with the game.

So did you guys Just see it on the shelves or did you have to ask about getting it?

Glenno's duty was to provide proof of a broken street date to his Head Office, which is the reason why he bought it - so he could send the receipt off. That's the thing, he didn't need to buy and play the game, he only needed the receipt.

Being that the offending store was in the same shopping centre as his EB, he could have easily photocopied the receipt and sent that off, then returned the game. Now, that sounds ridiculous, having to go all the way back to return a game he has been looking foward to like everyone else.

The thing is, he was trying to stand on the moral highground, asking people to be patient and consider how much effort he has put into his big release day, yet he decides to be able to play it. If he was so worried about doing the right thing, he should have easily been able to say "No, I won't keep this game. I've been against this release date being broken, and I will not benefit from it". But he didn't. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

What also makes it worse is that he claimed to have deserved it more than others, because of how much he's pushed the game. But that's a load of bull shit. Did he push the game purely to benefit the game? No. It was business, and he is being subsequently rewarded by getting all of these sales and traffic into his store. It wasn't an act of charity that would otherwise have gone unrewarded.

I haven't got any large hatred against him, just a bit peeved. This is my two cents anyway.
