Look at the jock tag.

If only Port were in the PB guernseys...

Here's one I've never seen before but stood out to me - seems the Dockers had an all purple training jumper in the 90s. Would love to see if someone has a full photo of it.

Looks very much like the AFL 99 concept that I did.

Yes. Fremantle also wore all red and green versions of those training jumpers. In fact until about 2002 it was always a green, red, or purple training jumper with the anchor and a sponsor usually underneath the anchor.

After doing some exploring... found this. 9d1476dd83f0be4ffa71b3c29ac997e0.jpg
Eddie's son (in the middle) has a very interesting jumper there, Not sure why the Emirates logo is so squished. I doubt it's a fake but nonetheless, looks out of place.

It's a kids' size jumper. The logos are the wrong sizes on almost every kids' size jumper ever produced.

Yes, the thing you're meant to be looking at is the Collingwood logo on the Port Adelaide guernsey, where you quoted the post which said specifically to "look at the jock tag".

I can only think of Rob Sitch when I see Desmond Tutu

I wasn't aware that space on the Guernsey was referred to as the jock tag. I was looking at his shorts for the jock tag. My bad.

Technically not a photo, but this video (still below) caught my eye. Gault (third from left) in our old black jumper with large magpie, everyone else in new white (no magpie). I was at the game, Ballarat was at it's freezing best and Gault played the game in a white jumper. Likely he wore the black jumper underneath and removed the top white jumper before the song.

I have this distinct recollection of Matthew Bate wearing a Melbourne clash jumper (the red one with the big flame 'M"), but he had the sponsor logo from the previous year on it.

I am fairly certain that he had the iPrimus logo which was in a big blue box from 2006 but the rest of the team had the Primus logo which was just white writing in 2007.

My guess is this was in either round 13 against Essendon or round 22 against Carlton (Kreuzer Cup) in 2007.

At the start of the Essendon game he did have the correct logo, I know this from looking up some highlights but this was when Melbourne had the yellow bands on their jumpers for the cancer cause so he may have only had one of those jumpers, ripped it and changed into an old version later in the game. Form the highlights online he did have the correct logo up until at least the third quarter so it may not be this game.

I might have the year completely wrong or possibly it never happened but if anyone can find a photo of this that would really scratch an itch.

Stealing from a different thread but still worth sharing...

These monstrosities.

Any back story as to why they did this?
I could be wrong, but the backstory I have heard is that it was a Gary Ayres brainchild. They had Hawthorn coming up so he thought that if they had a scratch match and did a team up as the Hawks they would go harder in training.

I'll have to get clarification from the Cats board as I have never seen anything official.
