Both play for Centrals! :D

Bet that had you worried .. that'd be worth another 3 year deal! :D

(PS it was Luke McCabe.)

Good on him ... played in a flag with him as a junior - he was a gun.

Not much room in a flag ... you must have been very close ... ;)

Knights has all the hallmarks of the new Matty Connell. Never strays from the boundary line, picks up heaps of cheap stats and kicks pie floaters. Definite gold jacket material.

Lots of Cassisi about Symes. Also, I've nicknamed him BS. Get him in the 22. Primarily so I can call him BS.

I was at the game.
S Cochrane played very well, including a long goal which was disallowed because of an infringement (nothing to do with him) in the goalsquare after he'd kicked it.
I confused Symes with Marco Bello early and thought the already impressive Bello was a superman. But I was crediting 'Bello' with roughly twice as many possessions as he was actually getting (which were still a fair few). When I'd sorted myself out my impression was that Symes is a very active player but there was no one piece of individually brilliant skill to make me long to see him out with the Power.

Let's not overlook the prime achievement of this Suburban and Average Football League GF. WWT lost again, reinforcing their reputation as Loserville. Port should stay away from anyone who has ever been in a locker room there.

Harsh.
I've gone to all the SANFL GFs in recent years and Centrals are very much like Brisbane when the Lions were at their fearsome best. They lose a few games during the year but are finals specialists. Their leadership group is superb. Importantly they do not get repeatedly drained by their young players going into the AFL draft the way WWT has been.
FWIW yesterday WWT fought really well until late in the third quarter. It was a great game of football until then, a really good spectacle.

I agree, Stuey Cochrane had a day out yesterday, he played nearly every position through the four quarters and the only time he got taken off from the ground is for a spell. A job well done to Stuey for playing his usual important role on ground, stopping all the damaging players.

what_the will love that one.

I know that she was looking at Brett Ebert and then Troy Chaplin as her next player after the demise of Matthew Primus but I think BS will win hands down now. :p

My 'favourite player' problem is solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing better than a player called "BS". :D
