Anyone heard anything at Imps? Apprently a few boys not happy with the coach being reappointed? Great bloke but just can't coach??? Burdett is one and the swallows are allready having a crack at him as there Assistant coach. Rumoured to be one or two others as well.
I have heard Hopetoun could be having their last year next year so they are very keen to go out in style. Burdett leads their list of possible coaches and McNallys name has been mentioned to go back with him.
Either way dont think burdett will be at imps next year.
If Elstone comes back each weekend he can bring Jade Sheedy back with him for the drive, i'm sure we might be able to fit him in a back pocket:D

If it is hopetouns last year we might see another side in the SFL next year. I know Walpeup/underbool are on their last legs and Woomerlang are just about finished which means the Mallee League will fold. Japarit/Rainbow have wanted to join the horsham districts for years and Sea Lake will have to go to the murribut league
You would have to then say ouyen and walpy will join and come up this way which would be great for the league. 18 rounds a season so every one plays each other twice and we have 2 byes.

Anyone else got thoughts on this?
Bye the way, willow looks fit:)

Willow never looks fit, just keeps buying bigger shorts. Obvious to me though, 3inarow doesn't know him that well. Maybe too busy reminiscing about 2's premierships that no-one really cares about!
Just for your info 3, willow coached several years ago, assistant coach at a couple of clubs, under 18 coach at south when he arrived.
Sure he is not young, but his record speaks fairly highly for a bloke that doesn't claim to be a good footballer. Reckon he might have you covered though!
He is well respected by the people at south, is smart enough to get himself fit enough to play at this level. Pre season will be short, but i'm sure he'll play good footy next year and hopefully more to come. South is a better place with him.
SFL would be a good league with those extra clubs! Might push a few away though with the travel. Plenty of clubs outside this league that offer much better coin if you wanna travel.

In news at Merbein the word is Ben Duscher will be back for the magpies which would be huge for them as they need some pace and experience to help there kids come through quicker.

Whats the news at other clubs remembering its silly season??:footy:
B.Duscher on mega bucks to return (no disrespect 2 him as a player, but you could get 6 brad hards for the same coin) plus mal miller and maybe matt hooker, merbein hierachy havent learned much hey!

Yeah 100km away(20km more than robinvale) might be too far for the average footballer once a year. Maybe the league can give the team the bye the following week to get over the jetlag?

On willow i hear he is running to and from work each day so he can get some miles into his legs before pre season starts. Great dedication to the club

wrong again harry think you know every thing but you have no idea . spoke to ben last week and has no intensions of coming home. as for matty hooker i dont think the club has even spoken to him. you got one thing right they are talking to mal.

Seems the club is still reeling from Merv Neagle, actually where is he in the clubs time of need.
The pressure is mounting at Mildura, as much as Willison is repected at South for his leadership he wouldnt have been on there top 10 prospects list so things must be getting desperate.

The word was that Elstone was tossing up what to do because Port Magpies were in such dissaray in Adelaide. Bowen would be pretty settled down that way. I did hear he had just started building a new house in Echuca.

Which Club hasnt Burdett spoken too around Victoria, Rumour has it he is shopping around, must be a good bloke....didnt think he would last long at Imperials....

Now that the finals are done and dusted. What do we think about having the final series at the irymple ground.
What do the clubs need to take the next step?

Dont like it being at Irymple at all. To many negatives for having it there.

Word is that neither Alderton or Jackson will play for Rvale next year...

Interesting bit on the Milewa League forum

"Yes Bell has excepted to coach, but the sticking point is that hes told them that he will be pretty much be a non playing coach. Expect to see tom vadge play there next year as well as some of his old RC Teammates."

At Gol Gol !!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

Please list Garry............id be very intrested to hear your thoughts.

The granny should of been at No1 oval and thats the end of that discussion. Too dusty playing footy out there in the middle of a paddock!!!

Robinvale have been speaking to Tim notting and Trent Noble, big money to be spent by the eagles next year in order to get a flag

Both Notting and Noble have signed to play with Labrador next season. A quick check of the AFL Queensland website will confirm this.
Lets face it Mal, the Dogs shouldn't be questioning anyone about paying for flags. Look where 98 put you blokes. Eleven long years. And I still can't see any light at the end of the tunnell.

I'm just passing on the reliable info I hear to get some discussions happening on here. It would be great for our league to get some high profile footballers into this comp.
If Robinvale have the money why not recruit some guns, you wont get any guns up here with out cash anymore. What happened to the days when players just wanted a stable job?

I guess when we gave the horse and cart all the stable jobs dissappeared.

5 Eagles in the top 10 is pretty impressive :)
What's doing at Mildura? If Gonz is gone also they could be in real strife next season.
