Sunraysia Football league Part 2

I do believe Ouyen and Walpy will become one in 3 years and join the Sunraysia league. I believe Ouyen want this to happen.
I saw this years grand final and Walpys local players are all close to the end of the careers and cant see them being able to field a side in 3 years. Walpy do have an excellent side now but like all country towns the population is getting smaller and older.

I agree with this. And i think its the most obvious senario. Lets face it, this is the sunraysia league. If ouyen, walpy and underbool are under the mildura rural city council unbrella, it only makes sence that they play against the other teams in the own council. The main problem the mallee league has is the southern teams like Jeparit want to go to the league south of them. when they finally do, that league will fold. But with the lack of numbers, i think that Ouyen and walpy will have to merge to do it. OR They stay seperate and join the MFL. Its certainly going to be interesting logistically when it all happens. A combined team of Ouyen/walpy from last year would of played finals in SFL or dominated MFL. But who knows what sort of team would be left in 3 years

you know what i like, when we are only aloud to train once a week on our lush green ovals when the mallee boys train twice a week on cement with jacks.
But i noticed you used the 2006 results, why not the 2008 ones.

Yes and that game was to WIN the pool D title. yes the best in pool D. I could be wrong but they are now upgraded to pool C.
And how did sunraysia go.

So my answer to "Your right we don't have any respect for the mallee league, because its a s@it standard of footy compared to sunraysia"....respect isnt just about the results. i think they do pretty bloody good with what they have got.

The reason I didn't use the 2008 results is because THERE ARE NO 2008 RESULTS!!!!! we didn't play north central mallee, and I don't see Sunraysia FL in those results!

And you better go and check the VCFL website because those results you have put up are from POOL D, the leagues that were in Pool C are as follows:

Wimmera
Western Border
Murray
Bellarine

And also here are the 2007 results:
These are revelent because its Sunraysia playing North Central and not some other footy league

But I guess you can take something out of this you are getting better we only kicked 13 goals in a full game this time and not 19 in half a game!

they were fairly harsh ill informed comments or are you the genius that told the merbein players that if we appoint you as coaches and hand out sign-on fees to join werrimull that your contracts to play with merbein in 2009 will no longer stand.

Look have nothing to do with contracts but if it requires some coin to get them over the line well be it. What are we the first club to do this??

Sign on fees have nothing to do with getting clearances but obviously contracts do and for the life of me i am not sure why these players had signed them!!

My opinion of Riodo is still the same, not the right guy for the job!!

He may have done all this in the past but has a history of taking the $$ himself in front of the clubs best interest. Where has he been for the past few years prior to this one?? Balranald & Sth Mildura!! If he was so interested in the club why was he playing for these other clubs?? Let me think...................$$ & glory hunting!! Rest my case!!

i clearly mentioned that the results i used were from 2008...and that they were in pool D. What the main point was that you guys didnt play because of the drought....i guess there is no drought in the mallee.

one to watch. warrick brady is doing pretty good out at wentworth at the moment.

and one that just comes to mind. im not 100% on the first name. but i think it was billy white (no the first name is wrong). he played for ouyen that year they joined and got belted every week. but he still won the league best and fairest.

But let me get one thing straight here. I never said that the mallee league was better than the sunraysia league. i said that there was a lot of sunraysia people that gave it no respect. There is a differnce. I will admit that the sunraysia league is stronger. and as it should be with the pure weight in numbers. But there are a lot of good players in the mallee league that would easily play seniors up here.

i believe spicer and jenkins are also contracted to merbein for season 2009. correct me if im wrong. you would have to agree that its poor recruiting to target players that are already contracted.
in finishing, didnt i see you playing at south a few seasons ago. not 'glory hunting' i hope. haha
looking forward to the 'silly season' finishing (although some of the rumours and crap make for a good laugh) and season 2009 commencing. then we can all take stock of who we have and haven't got playing in our jumpers

People seem to forget that tranfers are confirmed after they've been lodged with the league and agreed upon by their old (previous) club. (Withstanding appeals etc)
Tranfers/clearance open from 1 Feb to 30 June.
Everything else is piss talk!!
Even footy clubs don't believe they have recruited some1 until their transfer has been granted.

i agree if he was asking for big coin at the demons they have done the right thing, robinvale might be able to slot him somewhere into the their side but other then that he's bout as useless as titts on a bull.
