“The SUNS have informed Vivien Saad, Jordan Membrey, Ashanti Bush, Alana Gee, Cara McCrossan and Lauren McConville that they will not be offered contracts for the 2025 AFLW season.”

Vivien Saad is an interesting one. Yep, she was injured. Thought would be ok when she returns though to help out Lynch.

Alana Gee hardly played due to constant injury, but was one of the highly touted girls from memory.

Bush makes sense. Never really thought she was as damaging as we wanted.

Then delisting an Irish convert after one season (3 games) is a bit rough.

There could be additional factors here. So players may not want to continue in the sport/club etc. but yeah, some interesting names.

I guess the shorter contracts and transient nature of the sport, not to mention the thinner talent pool, means that it is very cut throat once out of contract if not performing/injured.

If we keep Rowbottom then that will be huge. She's got every reason to leave at the moment so it would be an outstanding result if she re-signed.

This is almost the same thing to what happened a few years ago when we delisted Jade because she did her ACL.

I would think the next ‘delistings’ will be the coaching and S&C staff. When you have a team performance that poor, and this many players supposedly not able to ‘make the grade’, I think it says more about the coaching staff than the players.
