Drafting Elijah’s brother is a good idea if he’s available at our pick but I certainly wouldn’t overreach for him considering there’s no guarantee that Elijah would re-sign just for that

He seems like a really high floor player. Could be best 22 pretty early as can find it and uses it as well as any player in the draft, so should stand out like the proverbial in our woefully skilled team.

Hopefully he has the same type of character as his brother as he seems like an up and about type.

Depends who is left at our first.
If a young tall defender there. Take that guy.

Can always trade from 14> 10 by using a later pick if we need.

A few in here going a bit OTT with the Ollie pursuit. Pick him if he's best available. Elijah gives zero vibes of being someone that'd toddle off back to Vic.
Yes but I thought Rankine was the least likely between him, Lukosuis and King to return home as well and we’re getting worrying signs there. Someone on the Crows board apparently ITK said Izak agreed to their offer, just leaving it to Adelaide to get the deal done. I wouldn’t take Oliver with a top 5 pick if we received it from Adelaide but our next pick would be worth it IMO. Kid can play and has the tools we need. Think a slightly smaller, faster version of Elijah who accumulates more but not quite as dangerous overhead.

Yeah agree, really think hollands is worth it at 8 anyway. Seems to be improving as the year goes on and his games for Vic country have been very good. Skilful, hard running and good tackler, sounds good to me.

I think Oliver might have been hampered by injury earlier this season too and is only recently able to work into some top form?
Normally I don’t see too much of a difference in ability between a pick 8 and a pick 15. It’s usually the top 5 that are a level above.

Got a mention on the Sunday Rub too, one of them reckoned he'll be better than Elijah.

Younger brothers are often better because when they are small they have to compete with the older sibling. I'm thinking j.selwood and z.merrett as examples.

I reckon a tall defender is most important as the main weakness is the backline. You'd wanna move Andrew to ruck or forward once he gets some size, so busslinger from W.A would be a smart choice imo.

I hope for what it’s worth, that the club is offering Rankine the option of a base salary of $650k with a incentivised trigger option for earning $800k PA if he can show he’s worth it.
How many touches, score involvements etc that is, I don’t know but it’s definitely an option for both player and team. This can also be made up with sponsorships, endorsements etc..

650k with a 100k bump per AA team he makes

He makes the AA team each year he earns 800k average over the 4 years

Busslinger would start Round 1, Collins, Ballard, Busslinger, Heppell, Farrar, Lemmens, Powell done.

Also want Ollie so hopefully we can land 4&8

I'm hoping we keep Izak, so hopefully can get the same players with our pick and Lions pick.
Hoping so too, the draft board will change a fair bit from now to November.

Busslinger currently the #1 key back prospect and out for the season, not sure he slides past the bulldogs so we may have to go early on him.

Hayes seems to be rising the rankings too. Sound like more of a lockdown player, as opposed to an interceptor in Buss. Reckon he might be better suited?

Mac + 2nd pre-season + 5kg > Busslinger round 1
Would love to see it, Mac skills are elite compared to Sam & Charlie

Aslong as they have a good kick, i'm happy with either one. Been so grim watching Graham/Collins/Ballard kick
Ain’t the bulldogs signing Jones for 3 years? 😬🤔
Dogs still need to upgrade on Keath & Gardner, luckily they have a 209cm Sam Darcy, bit too tall for CHB but a marking machine.

AFLPA 22 inder 22 squad announced.

Anderson (mid/wing) lock for a wing spot IMO

Rankine (fwd) I think he should be in but probably 50/50

Rowell (mid) unlikely to be selected IMO.

Anderson is an easy lock in everyones side not many options.

Rankine i decided to go with Pickett/Ginnivan/Rozee/Gulden/Martin.... Rankine/Pickett tough

Rowell made my side over Newcombe/Berry/Green (I went with Brayshaw,Smith, Walsh, Warner)

Very stacked side

Yeah I went with Anderson on the wing. Rankine on the bench. After internal debate. Went with Newcombe over rowell
