Jonathan Brown just completely mischaracterised the comparison of the list building between GCS and GWS. It was the Giants who recruited mature aged players well and the Suns who were forced to recruit B graders and play kids. Now here we are, after GWS has been given all the advantages, rebuilding the list and playing kids again. And the kids are ok, Ballard, Bowes, Heron, Scheer, Brodie, Ainsworth, Ah Chee, Holman, Weller, Joyce, Leslie, Martin, Miller, ALL under 24. Youngest selected team this round, in our 8th season. The AFL have continually justified the money spent on setting up the Suns for their MASSIVE FAILURES in assisting list building. The AFL community needs to wake up and realise that the Suns need help, with extra list spots for mature list players, extra salary cap and priority Draft Picks. At the very least a marquee player on ambassadorial cash to cover the loss of Ablett.

Brown knows **** all about the Suns and doesn’t care. He’s like Matthews in that regard and would prefer we didn’t exist so Brisbane can have a monopoly in SEQ.

The problem I have with Dew trying to implement a Sydney game style at the Suns is that Sydney have always had a mature team to implement it with. You can’t do it with kids.

It doesn't explain the margin at all, but it does explain why the Suns players get so dejected and allow other teams to get so many consecutive goals. It is a weekly factor and contributes to blow outs. No question.

GC woes summed up by poor recruitment and poor team selection. Case in point, the tale of two ex-Freo players:

1. Weller welcomed with open arms by GC who happily relinquished pick 2, the pretty boy spuds it up every single week.

2. Barlow treated like shit by Dew and GC selectors Just played four NEAFL games in a row with 40+ possies, played with a broken jaw last week and still managed 46. GC's most valuable player IMHO.

Really, at this point we don't even have a functional d-grade midfield. Miller 'leading' the way with a whopping 21 touches.

Makes you wonder what the head honchos at the AFL would be concerned about, our lack of competitiveness or GWS’ lack of a crowd. If we had a team like that we’d have Metricon packed to the rafters every game.

I would still consider Brisbane as my 'second team'. But saying that is very rich coming from a Brisbane supporter. Last time you finished above us on the ladder was 2013

We desperately need mids. Lyons playing 2s footy is just dumb. Bring him back so we actually have some presence. We can't compete with kids rotating through there. Bowes, Brodie and Ainsworth might get there eventually but at the moment they need a guy like Lyons there to help take the load.

My take on Dew is he’s trying to be too clever by half with selection and gameplan
This is a mediocre team filled with dumb footballers
At least Lyons and Barlow have football brains
Young and Holman wouldn’t get within Gunshot of any other AFL team but they front up week after week doing mediocre things
Now of course Dew has pissed off a good portion of our rump by playing favourites

Stupid gameplan for a young side.

Let them be a bit more free flowing, kicking a few more goals does wonders for confidence and development. They need people to enjoy watching the Suns play not be bored to tears.

The AFL have a got a serious headache at the moment with the Suns.
