"I thought the Empire State Building lighting up with Eagles colors was bad.."

When he out of contract?

How are Eagles fans feeling going up against old mate Andy Reid?
Can only speak for me but if we're going to lose in the SB, I'd much prefer it be to Andy rather than a BB.

Gonna have to jump on the Eagles for this. * the Chiefs.
Trying to find a reason to jump on either side - I think it will end up being the Eagles

Just hope its a good game that goes to the end with meaning

I don't think it feels like much to us. Us winning our first Superbowl first kind of changed the vibe. There will be never be regret.

Wish him well generally, just not this game.

I would rather another coach win because he blew so many chances with Eagles so he leaves and wins twice with another team? That's not right. He deserves to lose again so his KC record aligns more with his Eagles record, even though he has 1 SB win at KC

From 1973 - 1991, the Chiefs and Eagles didn't play any regular season games against each other.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet each other in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have a 5-4 record all time against the Eagles in the regular season.

Despite both teams having existed since before the 1970 merger, they have only played 9 games against each other, as they didn't play each other from 1973-1991.

From 2002 on, the NFL schedule has ensured that every interconference matchup happens at least once every 4 years. But before that, the NFL schedule wasn't as consistent, so that led to scheduling quirks such as the Eagles and Chiefs going almost 20 years without playing each other.

Another weird thing about this matchup is that the Chiefs didn't play a game at Philadelphia until 1998, and didn't play their 2nd game at Philadelphia until 2009.

Below is a list of every regular season game between the two teams.

1972 - Eagles 21-20 Chiefs (@KC)

1992 - Chiefs 24-17 Eagles (@KC)

1998 - Chiefs 24-21 Eagles (@PHI)

2001 - Eagles 23-10 Chiefs (@KC)

2005 - Eagles 37-31 Chiefs (@KC)

2009 - Eagles 34-14 Chiefs (@PHI)

2013 - Chiefs 26-16 Eagles (@PHI)

2017 - Chiefs 27-20 Eagles (@KC)

2021 - Chiefs 42-30 Eagles (@PHI)

Chiefs will wear white, Eagles will wear green....

It's all porridge to me

The Eagles' color is closer to blue than green. You only see it as green because your mind thinks "Eagles = Green". It is not green. If anything, it's blue.

Look at the color out of context...

That's basically a darker version of the Jaguars' teal. You're looking at slightly more blue pixels than green pixels.

Here's a comparison with the teal the Dolphins used from 1997 to 2012.

Eagles on left, Dolphins on right...

The Dolphins were actually slightly more green, but lighter in color

Would love to go one day but I suspect this is how I'd be left feeling

I’ll never go again. Bucket list shit - rather go to regular season game every day of the week. Reckon a winning NFC Championship game would be more fun too. Sort of like preliminary final v grand final here. Atmosphere at a preliminary final is usually much better.
