Im trying not to get to hyped because its still a long wait but I am really looking forward to this. I hope its good.

Even if it isnt, just wait another 10-12 years for the reboot of this movie, its what Hollywood has always done and will always do.

Its just been so long since they got it right on the big screen though. Its really not that hard if you like at how the character has been presented on tv.

Can't believe Man of Steel was 11 years ago.

Rewatched the trailer just now and still gives me goosebumps..

Only makes me sad as the trailer build up was awesome

The movie itself was welllllllllllllllllllllllllllll below average.

I hope this iteration is good, but I'm yet to like ANYTHING James Gunn has done, so my expectations are at rock bottom!

I think MoS is one of the best comic book movies haha

On the same page with Gunn though, GoTG was just okay. Not impressed with everything else he's done. Thought his Suicide Squad was terrible

MOS had a few good concepts, but it was let down by a weak script (weak dialog specifically, but the acting from a few left a lot to be desired). I liked it, wanted to love it, as with some movies... I felt it didn't stand up on re-watches (everyone knows that I loveeeeeeeee repeated viewings here lol). But yeah the trailer told a better story in 90 seconds, than the actual movie did :p

And sadly it got worse with Batman v Supernan

But strangely enough I liked ZS' Justice League and would have liked to have seen his overall plan finished with the other sequels (again probably wouldn't have been EXCELLENT, but the ideas were different).

My GOAT fictional character. Disappointed with what happened with Cavill but think they're going down the right path. Tone of expectation on this.

Love the elements of John Williams theme in that second tweet, has to be a part of the movie. It's as important as his suit IMO.

Yes that’s surely intentional, can hear the essence of John Williams score in that. The leaving Smallville theme standouts to me. Was clear from the outset that Gunn is heavily influenced by the 78 Superman film and the inspirations have been evident with the logo choice, the suit and so on. The tone of hope and kindess. He’s even cast Otis and Eve Teschmacher.

Keen to see the trailer in a few days.

sigh why does most of it look like a Superbowl commercial

Wait till they show Superman's pet dog. :$

I wonder if this version of Superman will also have a pet cat as well.

Might have to wait till the late 2030s for a more serious take of Superman again.

I'm in.

Still concerned they're trying to shoehorn too much in, but all they key points they nailed. Great that the trailer doesn't have a of dialogue. That theme too. Wowza.

Huge All Star Superman vibes from that. Probably Morrison’s best run in the comics.

I wonder which version of Krypto Gunn is drawing from, looks to me the Rebirth version. Noticed Kelex is in there as well.

The score is very good.

There’s understandable question marks over whether Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho etc are needed for this. That’s something that just won’t know until the finished product, I wonder what running time will be for this.

There were similar rumblings prior to The Batman with the host of characters involved, however a 3 hour running time gave plenty of breathing room to integrate the various characters.

Oh man as someone who is an all time Superman simp, The Batman nailed everything. One of my favorite movies - let alone comic book movies. (It's annoying me not having time at the moment to get through Penguin, episodes I've watched are amazing).

For the runtime, Gunn says it's under 2 and half (in response to not being 3 hours)

Gunn has a good record and he's good at managing big cast sizes - so like you said - until we see the final product. Hard to judge.

Gotta say - I haven't seen IMAX in YEARS, but this might be the one to make the trek back out for.

There is a 2+hr review of the trailer already surfacing online. :$ :D

John Campea is a huge Superhero fan.

Bit of a hot take on the trailer, I kinda wish they made a TV series for this instead of a ~2hr movie.

A decent 10-12 episode TV season for a few seasons would have enabled a lot more story telling.

They had one that just finished and despite its low budget it was pretty good.
