this was probably my fave episode of US survivor since DvG. I am finding myself liking most of this cast. Even sorry to see the annoying one go.

Fantastic episode.
- Awful move by Shan. Getting rid of an ally for an extra vote is ridiculous.
- Throwing challenges is fine in principle, and this was a perfect time to do it for blue.
- The way they edited the challenge with Deshawn and Danny confessionals interspliced was really well done
- I assume I'm in the minority, but I really liked JD
- Least advantages of the season, and the best episode, what are the odds.
- Probst's love of the Heather type stuff is fine, but they don't need to go so over the top.
- Awful, awful move by Shan. Extra votes are almost always useless.

Agree with everyone else - best episode of the season without all the secret advantages rubbish
* The reward challenge - yeah that Fiji guy would help but seriously, just give them a spread of food. That is what they want.
* The whole Heather thing was over the top. I get it, she didnt give up, but it went on too long
* Didn't mind the guys trying to throw the immunity challenge. They almost pulled it off
* I am also in the minority but I liked JD too. Mind you, the term 'super fan' is overused in general
* Dumb play by Shan - hope she goes next, particularly with that stupid song she sings to herself

It was a 'dumb' play from Shan, because JD was completely up her ass, but barring some crazy swap that puts her directly onto the bottom of a new tribe there is no chance she goes next.
Ricard is also completely up her ass, but he thinks he's in control of HER, which makes it even more unlikely he'd flip on her for Genie if they went back to tribal.

I didn't mind the move in all honesty. JD seemed erratic as hell and felt like someone who could flip on a dime. Although I wouldn't trust Shan as far as she could throw me.

Shan was just cleaning up her mess from the previous tribal when she should have booted JD instead of Brad.
JD had the confessional where he was pissed with Shan for being hypocritical about witholding information when she scolded him for it last episode.
It wouldn't surprise me if JD approached Ricard and talked about potentially voting out Shan at that early point of the episode, before handing over the extra vote again, and that is the reason they went with JD in the end.
They probably need to lose again to get rid of the older bird before the merge because I doubt she wants to play with Shan / Ricard and she could really talk them down to the rest if she is still bitter about the Brad vote.

I think we are going to need a tribe swap first, its only day 8 so i can't see merge hitting just yet.
If the tribe with 3 is reduced to just 2 then i think we will find they will send one to each of the other tribes.

How much of a jury do you think there'll be? If they swap it has to be next episode then a merge like 2 tribals after that. I don't think there'll be a swap now.

Agree that Shan should have kept JD. If both JD and Ricard are close allies then you would rather have them both there as they aren't going to work together to get her out. That is worth more than an extra vote but even if she gave it back to JD, she still has a close ally with it and it wouldn't be used against her.

Enjoyed that one, great blindside that I had no idea was coming. The editing got me, was almost certain it would be Genie. And I was hoping to see how that roll of a dice/shot in the dark plays out even if just once.

Have I not been paying enough attention, or are there still people out there getting their first confessionals? I swear here were people on last night that I'd never seen before.
I thought it may have just been me, not watching closely enough on previous episodes. I genuinely cannot recall seeing or hearing Heather prior to the latest episode’s reward challenge.
