Just a topic that was on SEN and got some heated talkback.
I don't know which way the SEN poll went, but here's the BF version.

OUR MAN Swan has had an enormous year but he does not get the attention of ablett or judd for that matter .
Swan reminds me of Paul Kelly, head down over the ball and gets it out. He did it in 2007 and not as much 2008 (although still got run with stats) This year he is the ball getter and the umpires love that stuff.
thomas and cornes both shared the job on juddSwan got Daniel Jackson on the weekend. Richmond's No.1 Tagger. The week before he got Robert Shirley.
Judd got Matt Thomas this week, Ablett got Kieren Jack.
Judd got Matt Thomas this week, Ablett got Kieren Jack.
Agreed. Although this week he was back to his best, in & under packs, breaking the lines. He had 8 clearances, 6 inside 50's & 15 contested possessions. When he's playing like that he's a step above.Went with Ablett.
Don't like the brand of footy he's playing (or has been told to play) in recent weeks, but his talent cannot be denied.
Ablett and Judd are pretty close to me so it could be either tomorrow. Ablett is less taggable, but both beat their taggers msot of the time anyway.
Swan would be next, purely because he hasn't been as damaging a player as the above two. However, he has most definitely elevated his game within the last couple of months to what I perceive as being on those guys level as well. The challenge is to now sustain it and comprehensively beat number one taggers week in week out for the entire game.
Dal Santo a really good midfielder but doesn't fit into this comparison in my opinion. Hayes is the best saints midfielder and probably the best one in the country.
I believe thomas had judd for the first quarter, and from the second quarter onwards it was kornes.
19 possessions i believe (port is the team he averages the least amount against), but still had a couple damaging ones.
In the end though, both did a good job on him.
Too bad our team overall was crappy on sunday...
Agreed. But he doesnt do it enough. Ablett at his best but on 2009 form, Swan wins.Agreed. Although this week he was back to his best, in & under packs, breaking the lines. He had 8 clearances, 6 inside 50's & 15 contested possessions. When he's playing like that he's a step above.

Leads the league in assists and scoring involvements. Not damaging enough?
That's only counting 2009, and isn't counting finals yet...
Ablett. Been absolutely spectacular at times this year and won games off his own boot for us. The guy completely went under the radar for his performance in Rnd 17 v Hawthorn, despite getting 33 touches, 7 inside 50s and 11 contested possessions!
Swan averages 33 possessions, 11 contested possessions and 5 inside 50s per game.
