Just saw Swan on the news accepting the Jim Stynes medal. It has gotta make you proud being a Pies supporter seeing him accepting the medal.

Not bitter about Judd winning it so much as totally disgusted at umpiring inconsistencies in voting, there were a number of games when he should have struggled to get 1 vote when he got 3. That's not a slight difference in opinion that's an umpire giving votes to someone they love - regardless of the facts of the contest. Saw his season as good bordering on great but a top 3 finish was the best he should have achieved. Not a chance he deserved the Chas this season.

I have to say the "footy" finally concluding for both Swanny and The Sack is being greeted with a sigh of relief in the Pie household.
Not because we're tired of seeing the boys cut loose, but in both games I was on just waiting for one of them to get injured...

Thank god they both came through unscathed and we can now focus on Arizona, a full on pre-season and 2011.

That said it's going to be a hard season for Dane to emulate next year, what with all his team and personal accolades and possibly another Copeland to add to them.

Largely undervalued by the wider footy community last year, Swanny has forced a change of mindset out there by sheer performance.

Sign him for 5 years ED.
