I still smell the smoke and the jam donuts from behind the Sth Melb members stand. My distain of opposition supporters running up the members stand. But I always felt, you don't have our great colours and our great song, never will you till the day is long. I'm too nervous to go to the game, I'll watch the game next to my Dad's name.

My only memory of attending the Lakeside Oval was in 1980. As a Richmond supporter I was there for Bartlett breaking the games record. Bad vibes from early on when the banner blew apart in strong winds before he had a chance to run through it. In the end the Swans won by 9 goals.

Kevin seemed to have recurring challenges with banners. Was it his 400th against Pies at G when the little bloke got stuck in it, and eventually fell though it?

I'll post this before I check the facts vs my memory. To show my misplaced confidence in my recollections.

Phew, brain cells still working.

I remember pretending to be a Swans supporter 20 years ago against Freo and I sat next to an old South Melbourne supporter.

I had to pretend to remember South Melbourne players so I seemed legit, luckily I knew a couple, Bob Skilton and Barry Round.

I think I got away with it and I still have the Swans scarf I bought before the game, I might drag it out if the Swans win the GF.
