After a hard match in the pouring rain last week down in Vic the Swans travel up to sunny Coffs Harbour for a game against 8th place Tigers.

Hopefully the emotional blow of losing Chloe Molloy for the rest of the has had time to settle and the team can group after the loss to the Saints and work towards putting together a win.

Have at it.

Assistant coach Tanya Hetherington as she discusses our upcoming match in Coffs Harbour.
We look to a clash with Richmond in Round 3. What are you focusing in training this week?
We let ourselves down with contested ball, especially early so this will be a priority for us this week.

Just want to see someone put their name on it just going into the centre as a wrecking ball. We know Kennedy can do it but would love to see one of the younger 2-4th year girls go and stand up in the middle. Whether that be Ham, Hurley, Hamilton etc. Honestly not too fussed about the result just want to see signs of growth from the younger girls

Late change Out: Cynthia Hamilton

Htb rules are completely different in the aflw lol..
And different between teams.

Richmond clearly outclassed us in every facet of the game in that quarter. BUT O’Sullivan has no prior and is pinged. Ham barely has prior and is pinged. Richmond players take on two or three tacklers and it’s a ball up. That very late HTB free to Hauseger has persuaded me that maybe the umpires haven’t completely discounted paying us the odd HTB free.

Fair to say our depth is non existent at this point in time. Lose a few players and looking like we would struggle against some of the best under 18 sides.

Gowans spoke at quarter time about working on contested ball. Something I have been critical of even last year was we have a lot of outside players and get run through when the going gets tough.

Ham working really hard, trying to be the one to step up. In recent weeks have been really critical of Lochland and the fact she has pretty much disappeared in terms of being competitive. Efforts today have been much improved.
