Opinion Swap Carlisle & Hurley

While Hurley is no longer in the spotlight atm, I'd argue he is playing the best footy of his career this year.

Hurley hasn't put a foot wrong, in terms of consistent level of performance he's in career best form. He may not be a franchise CHF, but he's playing some really good footy.

Though I've been begging for the swap all year. Like alot of us, If they both can perform well as swingmen it helps the team in the future considering the draft picks were missing out on MAY hurt us eventually.
If Carlisle can keep up the performance he did something like yesterday then Thompson made the right call IMO.

Last week against port was a perfect example of when to pull the trigger. In the wet Hurley will bash and crash, gain territory and be more of a ground level presence when Jake was struggling to reel anything in overhead, otherwise (and with us playing a lot at Etihad) a 200cm marking target with long arms and freakishly big hands is arguably the perfect key position forward

Bombers will have two of them!! If only Bellchambers was in dominant rucking form because Ryder would make the most unbelievable forward flanker!!

Anyway with both Daniher and Carlilse both having such long arms I think we should politely enquire as to what is a chop of the arms!!

He was playing on maxwell and the other dud, may as well have been on his own.

I personally need more evidence but have always thought he needs more time.

He certainly wont be able to take that many marks against a genuine opponent. However, if he attacks the ball like that that he'll do his job and most likely bring down a few marks a game.
