Cliff wore number 39 for Carlton and was about 60kgs dripping wet. One of the bravest players to pull on a Carlton jumper.

Was it Cliffy who was felled by the Swamp Fox, Mike Paterson at the MCG one day and the Carlton trainer (surname Vincent?) who let him have the ball in his moosh when he wouldn’t give him room to treat Cliff on the field? Anyway Paterson got what he deserved because he was a prick. The Carlton trainer was suspended. He should have received a medal.
