I've been hearing some stuff floating around that Nick Davis is set to come back into the team which spells bad news. IF he does return, it'll either be a massive flop or he'll blow us away...I'm worried and kinda expecting the latter. I think he's due for it in every sense of the word due. But then again, so is Miller, Green, Bruce, McLean, Sylvia and Yze. Concerned with the fitness of Trapper, Robbo and Brucey, if they drop out of the team that leaves massive voids in the team with no Flash and Byron as well.

I'd like to take Dutchy out of the team and let Miller play on Big Bad Bustling Barry, let Dunn own CHF. The inclusions range greatly with the likes of Miller, Dunn, CJ, 426, Motlop, Ferguson and possibly even Biz all vying for selection. You wouldn't want to upset team balance too much before the game but that's alot of good names to choose from in comparison to the likes of Wheatley, Ward and Bell.

Sydney have one day extra rest over us, but this wouldn't play too much of a factor in the game would it? And if anyone knows what the weather is going to be like, that would be swell to know.

But yes, worried about a surprise Davis inclusion. Maybe his teammates won't pass it to him...Hopefully. Who are we going to play on Goodes? Bruce maybe to tag him out? I believe our ruck stocks will completely pwn Jolly and Chambers, there's a massive gap in talent there IMO. I think we have greater fitness and speed than the Swans, so if we can exploit them by using that like we did so well against the Dogs at the G, we'll go a long way to winning this. Desperately need to bounce back.

Anyone else worried as much as I am? They seem to have the edge over us in Melbourne like we do up in Sydney, but I think the past few times we've lost to them down here is at the Dome, so this should make a difference, atleast I hope so. What's the verdict guys?

I'm not sure if I want Davis to play or not. Who would he replace in their side?

I would probably put in 426 :)p) for Robbo, TJ in for Wheatley and Miller in for Dutchy. No other changers... Well maybe Dunn in for Bell. :thumbsu: That probably leaves us with a backman short, but we should be able to overcome that with our pace. :thumbsu:

I'm fairly nervous about this game, but if a few of our stars fire then we should be able to win.

No chance for the Dees this week.

One team's heading for the skies, while the other is heading down the toilet.

- Our chief goal kickers (Neitz & Robbo) are out of form and/or stuffed.

- Pickett and Davey are irreplacable.

- McLean, Johnstone and Carroll are under severe injury clouds.

- Sydney always dominate us in Melbourne

- Our boys can't sustain it mentally for 22 rounds. They only seek to atone from rounds 1-15 or 16 from the previous year, and that is FACT!!!

Get set for a long and frustrating day at the G on Saturday. Although we won't be blown away, it will be the sort of day when Sydney lead by 3-5 goals all day, and our valiant comebacks will be snuffed out by freakish goals to Hall, O'Keefe, Mick O, and maybe Davis.

We arent unbeaten at the 'G for no reason, we play better than anyone there and that will be a major advantage, the fact this one is at the 'G.

Its a season defining game for us, we have to win.

Bring Back Powell, why does your club say Adelaide? You haven't jumped on their bandwagon have you?

As for this game, I hope (obviously) we wipe the floor with these flood-lovers. Pay them back for the last two years they beat us down here. I'm much more at ease by the fact that this is at the G. We are every chance playing there.

I actually think we'll win. And I was honestly very worried about the game against Carlton. My instincts have usually been correct this year

Beating Melbourne at the MCG is the hardest task in footy...

So far this year:

BEAT the Kangaroos
BEAT Geelong
BEAT Fremantle
BEAT Hawthorn
BEAT St.Kilda
BEAT Collingwood
BEAT Port Adelaide
BEAT Richmond
BEAT Western Bulldogs

That trend will continue this week. Melbourne by 40+

All jokes aside he's crap and will never pull on the red and blue again. And we all know it.

I'm pretty confident we will win.
Just remember about the flood taunts though, we have done it more than anyone this year. The thing that annoys me with Sydney is they chip it around when they are a few goals up.
Yze to bounce back (He freaking better  ) along with the captain who will lead the way.
IMO the keys to this game are Neita and Hall. Miller needs to do a job on Hall which will be a lot harder on the wide expanses of the MCG, and Neita has a very good record against Barry. If we get it down to Neita quickly one on one we will win (And as long as Robbo doesn't get in his space  ).

He is? He's been in the best for Sandy quite a few times since he's been able to get his body right. Maybe he could make it I'd like to find out. Or put Dunn or Miller or someone over 6 foot tall at CHF I'm not that fussed.

Yeah I know the formatting is **** but I don't know how to fix that (if anyone can please feel free to do so).

Still not a bad record by Sydney.

But it will be broken on Saturday.

I believe

Who's 426 anyway

Im new to bigfooty and im jumping on the 426 bandwagon, me and my dad have been praying for the day he actually gets a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is in the best week after week at Sandy, is 196cm and a perfect player for a KP down at the dees, Does anyone think Daniher will give him at least 1 game before he delists him??, especially with Nieta coming to the end of his career. It's typical of Daniher stay with the same things day in day out until it finally comes back to bite him.

Don't want to hammer you on your own board because I am a polite character so allow me to give you a new way to abuse Sydney.
But first: Swans don't flood any more than anyone else, Eade may well have started it, but, he's not there anymore.

Sydney play ugly by creating stoppages. Lots of them. They do this by having massive numbers around the contest. This is because they are physically hard at it in a tackling rather than a sniping way and they rely on the midfield physically wearing down the other midfield. They also have a very disciplined way of chipping it around when other teams pull numbers back into D50 and waiting for an opening. It looks crap, and guess what? They don't care.
Do I like it?
Not particularly, but it's effective and we won a flag with it.
So please feel free to hammer the style in which the Swans go about it, just that now you'll sound more like someone who has seen a few Swans games, rather than someone who just reads the herald sun.

Also: @ whoever suggested Bruce getting Goodes, I seem to remember being surprised at that matchup last time around down here. I also remember it not lasting a very long time for reasons you can imagine.

Miller did a very good job on Hall earlier in the year though.

Here's hoping the umpires stay out of this one. Our match earlier this year had disgraceful umpiring both ways.

Wow, Nick Smith is still on your list? I remember he played one of his first games against us in 2003. So long ago.
He last played in the prehistoric age, my Great great grandfather told me he was the Tony Lockett of his era.

If he gets a gig, expect a backlash of 426 proportions.

Also, cant wait to see White and Jamar smash that dud Jolly in the ruck.

I want to see Jamar line him up and just go straight through him.

Jolly smashed Lade and completely destroyed Hille in the last two weeks.
I think you will be disappointed.
