Sure but I think Tig71 said that CCJ was as good as gone a few weeks ago, and that there was also a lot of interest in Stack.
They will come a bit cheaper now and carry a suspension into the Pre-season games and first round of the 2021 season.

No one is trying to “bring down our club”

The players did a sh*t thing and deserved the penalty. We haven’t had a good year off field, thats why we have had so much media attention, not because anyones out to get us.

Yeah, some sh*t has been blown out of proportion, but thats because thats what the media does regardless of who is on the receiving end.

Ive got no problem on Ralph reporting on the facts of CCJ and Stacks early morning kebab. They were stupid and we deserve the fine. But that Jon Ralph article is a hatchett job questioning our culture. He's dragging up Dimmas comments re Swans defensive game plan and Dimmas defence of Lynch. These are normal everyday football happenings. Then he is reporting on "rumours" players are unhapppy with the Cotchins. Rumour without any proof not even a fake Facebook account to back it up. Its disgraceful journalism aimed fairly and squarely at disrupting the club.

If Stack and the hyphen are forced out of our club its a disgrace. Stack has shown how good he can be and Coleman Jones has exhibited that he may become a very good player. Developed properly they are 10 year players. 10 year players dont grow on trees. Both are must keep players.

Jeez there’s some sanctimonious sh** being blurted around everywhere. Yep, they stuffed up. Yep, they had it drilled into them. Yep, they have cost the club thousands etc etc.

But they’re young guys who have made a blue, blowing off some steam, carrying on as mates and got caught out. Hardly criminal behaviour, and it’s going to cost them plenty. Way, way more than nearly every young kid that’s stuffed up. Should it cost them their careers, reputations etc? F*** no.

Back in a three week stint 20-odd years ago I fell asleep blind at my cousins wedding during the speeches and smashed a tray of ports, drove my mates dads car into his parents lounge room and fingered my then-girlfriends mate in a taxi just after dropping off said girlfriend. Sure I felt bad as hell at the end of it (not the girlfriend part, she was a b*tch), but you live and learn. Time passes, and you turn out alright.

These guys are going to live it out in the media, in public, with losers like talkback radio callers, social media idiots and every chatterbox on the street judging them. Most of us just fade into obscurity after our tumbles, but not these lads. And all on wages of possibly $100k a year, if that? Cut em some slack (pun intended).

And don’t get me started on Andy Maher and that Bulldogs loser he hangs out with. A couple of pathetic dweebs that have never had any fun in their miserable lives. Maher especially can jam his holier than thou schtick right up his arse until he finds out his kids are getting spit roasted on Saturday nights whilst mainly using their iPhones to do lines off. Might be a change of tune then. Softc***.

Richmond supporters should support Richmond and not be suckholes to the AFL. Support our players. In the end youre either with Richmond or your against us and IMHO if you support these disgracefully unfair sanctions then you are not a Richmond person. It should be clear to everyone that the AFL and its mdia chronies are out to get us. Our club is under attack. Dont support the people trying to bring down our club.

I completely agree. They will bring us undone if they have their way. It is amazing how quickly the AFL can act when it wants to ... yet sit on its hands for so long when it is unsure of what the popular decision might be. Like a true political party, it is filled with people who speak so much BS, they have no idea what real footy people think.
There should be more noise about why so many AFL executives are in Queensland now ... staying in luxury accommodation. The right message for them to send, would have been for the vast majority of them to stay in Victoria. But NO, they will not miss out when there is a free junket to attend!
I love Richmond and always will. But I increasingly cannot stomach the AFL.

Thats what feels like. Just going after a couple of kids because theycare easy targets. What happened to that drunken fat slob that attacked them? Is that clown getting a $75,000 fine. Its a disgrace whats been said and written by people about our players it really is.

Oppo supporters believe that Richmond should pay the fine.
I think its a tough call honestly. If it was me, I'd probably ask the two players to pay maybe half the fine in total.

Its a huge chunk of both of their salaries.

Agreed ... he is well entrenched in the growing number of talking puppets on Foxtel. Perhaps some real journalism could look at the footage of the incident and comment on the fact that some guy seemed to approach Coleman-Jones in an aggressive manner. The man then put his hand to Coleman-Jones' neck area. I think this could be considered quite threatening behaviour which incited the response. Aside from the players possibly breaking protocols, some highlight needs to be put on a thug who initiates physical force.

Agreed partially, but thats just typical garbage journalism. It happens to all clubs, its not a conspiracy against us.

You have to wonder what it’ll do to the feelings in the coaching group in regards to tension etc.
One of them will lose their job because of this it’s a sh*t feeling knowing somebody will have to go as most of us have probably experienced in the last 6 months.

I've asked this before.
But can we re-negotiate Dimmas contract so that the 100k can be absorbed into it and rewarding Dimma with an extra year to make up the 21 shortfall?

Pisses me off that the idiot premier jumped up and down about it. Used it as political advertising. They aren’t players in quarantine. The AFL hub is there to protect the players and the game. They are frequently tested and have all completed quarantine. The boys would have been the lowest risk of every single patron/staff member in that fine establishment.... I have no idea what she’s even on about. Does she ask for tough penalties for on field incidents too? It’s for nothing to do with her. Once the quarantine was done they may as well be Queensland natives...

Which Premier are you pissed off about? The Queensland one that's negotiated to have sporting codes play there. Under strict condition? Or Andrews for f ** g up quarantine in Melbourne? QLD people aren't really into AFL and are seeing anything that Paluschie does as ammo against her border policy.
It wouldn't surprise me if she just pulled the pin on the AFL season if there's more breaches

It’s going to be a very long off season and it’s in their court how they respond they are going to be copping it from every angle and I hope the club put their arms around them as well and make sure although they ****ed up royally they are not alone
