I don't think the AFL is the CFL, but am unsure why.

I loved it, I didn't feel their pain at all. I bet all next week it will be talk about the state of Umpiring.
Crickets when it happens to us, just like last year when Port were getting shafted and they squealed to the press and were looked after that.

The AFL is a bread and circus organisation. It's purpose is to provide the circus, that distracts people from the truth of how the all of the World is really run.
Collingwood have served their function. Navy blue is the new black and white, with another fairly large supporter base desperate for success.
The Richmond dynasty was unwanted (one flag was fine, two flags were a bit of a problem detour and three were a circus disaster). It was just too hard to stop, although it was probably shortened to some extent eventually.
There is a limit to how much they can fix. Too much and even the don't-believe-the-tinfoil-hats brigade will wake up, which would create problems all round.
Was Collingwood's last loss a deliberate decision? Absolutely, as deliberate as many of their wins were last year. Close games are perfect for small-scale manipulation. That's why the 2019 grand final against GWS was a problem - no amount of intervention could overcome that deficit. Even the Geelong one the following year was beyond their capabilities without making it too obvious.
Still, the recent Carlton win against Brisbane saw them pushing the limits of what can be done while pretending nothing is going on, but with Brisbane's renowned flakiness in their favour they went for it anyway.
They know exactly what they're doing. Many fans don't. And don't want to know.

I believe itās slowly getting more and more obvious each year though. It seems year on year there are more clear examples of match fixing going on through the umpiring. Look at Adelaide last year with the goal review, us v bears etc
Is this match fixing an afl directive or is it the underworld paying off umps?
