Probably difficult with all the different places of worship around. Walking past and peacefully chanting should never be banned (even the awful ones, free speech is a right that must be protected) but they should never be allowed to just stand outside a place of worship and protest, for any reason.

I should note, free speech isn't a pass for hate crimes. Anyone chanting for the death and destruction of any group should never be supported, no matter what side fo the fence you are on.

They seemed to be protesting a proposal for a mosque, not outside a random mosque. Seems stupid to allow or organise a protest outside of a synagogue or a mosque if the mosque or place of worship is the target of the protest. Especially if the protest is not against something that is specific to any actions that the leaders of that specific place of worship is even responsible for.
